they are in humans hand, especially if you had the war of the roses, that can double your power very early, but with AI england its the opposite, they dont know how to handle it
England seems to do fine in my experience. They can get knocked off the mainland, lose wales, get broken by heretics, fight a pretender war, and they will still come back and own Scotland & Ireland by 1600. Since 1.8 I have seen England lose once, and it was when I started in their trade node and made it happen. What videos and a twitch play I watched all showed England succeed when left alone. Is my experience abnormal? Is AI England not recovering and prospering after a time for others?
Making AI England more viable vs human France seems untenable. You want them to what, have a stronger monarch, accept an unreasonable peace ASAP to avoid WE and lollards, and then... still end up in war if they touch your guaranteed Scotland? Still get revolt risk if they move too fast in Ireland or crush burgundy? What?
