This game is made to simulate over 400 years of world-wide history. As such, the game rules are very generic by necessity.

Therefore, the game cannot and does not simulate every war in a way that does that particular war justice when it comes to specific strategy and tactics.

If you are very interested in a specific battle, you are better off finding a game where that battle is the specific focus.

If you want to play a general, all-encompassing strategy game, with economics, trade, conquest, politics, tactics and strategy all bundled in one, EU 3 is the game for you. Just don't expect every single part to be well-developed and detailed because it isn`t.

the game is on it's way, I think first I will play it out as is, and then see what happens.

I'm gonna also look into cheats to help me get the USA convicted into a British dominion or vessel faster.

I;m also gonna conquer other lands for Britain, like the French Caribbean.

Wish me luck...;)

unfortunately, this seems to be the closed to a game that has war of 1812 in it, so I'll have to make due with what I got.

I just hope it's realistic enough to be close to historical reality, and the game play can take w/e what if scenario it does, giving me ideas for what if essays on the war.

You can find the Whole World Mod in the Mod section of this forum.

There aren't puppets in EU3, there are vassals instead - in the latest expansion, Heir to the Throne, it's almost impossible to vassalise a country with more than a few provinces. But if you do a good enough job taking their provinces in the War of 1812, you can vassalise them in the War of 1817.

ok, i got the game, its different than i expected, but still cool and useful.

what are some cheats i could use, like one that will make the AI agree with me no matter what i demand like in HOI2, or creating troops and putting them in a province under my control w/o moving them from ocean to ocean.

you can still win with ENG by massing your armies in America while your ships defend against the REV FRA invasion. FRA dont really have good ships in the first few months keep chasing the main US army till they got destroyed. after you do that, bring in armies 2k of infantry each and mass seige the providences. Make an army of calvary ONLY and run around killing watever resistance left of the congress. Then you can end the war in 1813-14. You dont want to move your armies out yet, disband all the merc you have in America. Declare war and take stability hit then invest your money into stability making WHILE your armies still stay in America do the job again. Use the Calvary to kill the mercs. if there are any with high morale. Continue like that until USA is completely destroy. the year is gonna be 1820 and you get back your USA but might lost Cannada or Ireland. Unless you buy alot of armies and do a good job killing REB then your fine. Use the last one year to stable your country. Dont care about aything else since in 1821 the game wil lend anyway, you dont have to deal with the massive war exhauste and inflation.
