Hello, I have recently had an issue in my most recent game. There was a War in Heaven event, and everything was going normally. I stayed neutral at first, but when the Unbidden ALSO showed up, I joined with a side in the WIH to stay afloat. Since taxes suck, I tried to use what resources I had to end the WIH, and directly suceeded.
This is when things started getting weird. The pop-up claimed that a NEUTRAL faction ended the conflict, despite the fact that I was the one who spearheaded the final space AND ground invasions, while I was a vassal of the winning FE. Not only that, but my FE still refused to release me or any other vassals, despite not being at war with anyone whatsoever.
So, right now, I seem to be stuck in an unwinnable game state? Or I could try to turn on the other FE, but near to every other faction is under them atm.
The only other things I could figure, would be that *both* genocidal unaligned empires need to completely die, but the game claimed the WiH was over, sooo....
Is there anything I can do to get around this? PS, this is an Ironman game, so I cannot revert to an earlier save.
