I have fought my WiH as the leader of the NA league. The whole experience was very underwhelming and illogical.
When I had 78% war score against an FE which ran around with 300k fleets and all of its colonies (They were untouchable and only managed the score by beating down it's thralls). I have forced peace and the FE just vanished, claimed to be destroyed by my league. I was hoping for a short downtime and another round with them after gaining territory but it did not happen.

I was very disappointed. I hope this can be looked at and have it altered so it would work decently.

Might be a masochistic request as well but would it be possible to trigger multiple endgame events in one game? It would add a nice flavour as complete chaos ensues, burning the galaxy and weed out the weak.

I have WiH and Prethoryn Swarm at the same time (who just do not expand after the initial rush), the Guardian FE was triggered but just sitting on their bottoms, doing nothing to attack the swarm, so the triggers might need to be looked at too.

I really would like a HoI type peace conference, atleast for the WiH...
The fact that a small minor next to me snagged "MY" 25 tile Gaia planet after I won it still bugs me :p

I won as the leader of the Non-Aligned League for the first time today, and was surprised by the FE just up and vanishing. I guess Paradox were going for the Babylon 5 thing, where the Shadows/Vorlons leave in peace at the end of the war.

On the plus side, whilst their pops all vanished, their worlds and the buildings on them were left behind for the taking...

As for multiple crises - there are mods that allow that to happen naturally. And although I have never done it (so I am not 100% sure), I think you can use the console (non-Ironman only) to trigger all 3 crises in one game, simply by trigging each of the relevant starting/trigger events when ready to face them.

Word is that it's sadly enough Working As Designed. I did a similar thread some time ago, and thought that the whole thing was a bug due to faulty event scripts or something. Not least due to the event that makes the FE disappear popped up ~40 times.

Seriously PDS, perhaps you shouldn't design a barebones event chain as an inside nod towards an old sci-fi show and then market it as one of the major features of your DLC. Particularly as the event chain is full of bugs, like the above mentioned pop-up, or that the event doesn't actually end the war, but just removes the FE and leaves the puppets in a perennial war, or that the Xenophile FE's Alien Reserve vanishes aswell.

The War in Heaven also shows how ill-fitted the Warscore system is for handling this kind of existential galactic conflict, since you can just game warscore by going after the FE's puppets instead. For some reason this make them leave/be destroyed. A redesign is badly needed if this is supposed to mesh in any logical way whatsoever.

I'd like the WiH to have some specific objectives to capture rather than rely on just war score.

Say, each thrall is knocked out of the war once their core worlds (give or take 3-5 most built up systems) get occupied, allowing you to weaken these huge coalitions that form around the WiH. The assumption being that you remove the thrall's leadership that is sympathetic to the FE. The caveat being that if the FE captures their former thrall's capital planet, they can make them rejoin the war. If you want the total victory, you must occupy the core worlds of the FE, at that point the FE leaving event would be triggered, and all of its thralls would get released, probably with a timed conqueror diplo modifier towards your federation or something.

This should make the affair more about knocking pieces off the board before actually going in for the kill, rather than sieging enough weakly defended planets fast enough to cheese the event ending.
