So in my current game i am on good term with the human empire. I have my self a tributary which i've had since like the 5th year, and a recently acquired vassal whom i had liberated.
Any way the human decide they want to go to war with their neighbours and they invited me to join in.
Now the problems. 1. They want 3 planets, they will give me a humilation for my trouble.
They also are giving a cede wargoal to my tributary (which glitchs out in the war screen as they aren't include as members in the war if i accept the proposal). THey also give a liveration wargoal to my vassal.
The issue with this is if i use comand module to swap to play as them i cant offer the same wargoals as
1. I can't give thing to the vassals or tributaries of people i invite to wars. This results in the ai version of my faction declining the war proposal.

You don't really want to be joining ai led wars as you have no control on the peace screen (they could peace out taking all of what they want and leave you with nothing) their offers sound bugged though, you wouldnt want your tributary to gain land (as they arent your friend) and you wouldnt want to give a liberation wargoal to your vassal do you mean that your vassal will be liberated or that they will be liberating apart of your enemy with their ethos?
If you're determined to have the war you're better off declining the invite and instead going in to the declare war screen and inviting them into your war, then you can choose what everyone gets and can control the peace screen..

Well i didn't want to decline the war request as it had a diplomatic penalty for doing so (although i can just save the game and reload and the request is canceled). Yeah my new vassal was going to liberate a system of the enemies. The vassal getting stuff from the war is at least possible from my end. GIving a tributary who isn't even involved in the war a new planet just seems really weird. I was under the impression that the ai always went for the absolute victory war goal. The main advantage i see from being invited to an offencive war is that nothing of mine can be declared as wargoals. I'm pretty iffy about the enemy being able to declared my stuff as war goals if the attack someone i have def pact/ garenteed.
