Hi, I was a Design analyst for a couple of years before being laid off. My old boss is really into crusader kings 2 (being a RTS Fan, I figured I would give it a shot.)
After logging about 163 hours in over the last few weeks I figured I would submit a few ideas.
Mass Effect 3, War Assets.
This is a system I think would work very well in Crusader kings 2. It would add a little more flavor, and options to the game, while keeping it simple and Ui Based.
This could range from adding Heroic soldiers to adding entire regiments, (which could even be historically accurate like William Wallace for example) or relics, this could be added to your personal retinue or to the character sheet.
Let’s start with the heroic soldiers/regiments.
This option would you to keep the soldier in the army adding a bonus to the units damage, add the asset to the generals own body guard unit, or even promote the general by granting land and titles.
Relics
Relics could range from a famous crusader's sword or armor, or a famous painting or book. (options are pretty limitless here)
This would allow you to add the relic to your generals Card adding a bonus to the primary stats, or monthly piety etc..
These items could also be used for ransom or rewarding your nobles.
