Yep, that got me, too. First time i hear of Communist system producing massive amounts of consumer goods

Ther officer purges are in - you can avoid them at the expence of national dissent. I think the rational behind it is that the population/officers think that you do nothing against traitors.

The Soviet Union is a potential powerhouse. For balance reasons, their need for consumer goods is high, reflecting the inefficiency of their economic system, with the need for CG (Consumer Goods) going down with the actions of the Axis (Germany/Italy). I like to reason that it's the Russian populace realizing that they have to cut back on their own demands with regards to the Great Patriotic War.

Romanian State

Well soon as I get my copy I will be commanding the Romanian Military. I'm trying a minor as my first game. I don't think your diplomats would get so far with me. I also going to fortify and dig in troops on the Soivet Border starting in 1936.

I know facist countries can do it from other AARs. Im not sure about democratic ones but I'd imagine they can too.
