Idk if this has been discussed yet... How does the fleet move in this game? Is it kind of like RTS or EU4 where it just occupies a whole province (in this case a system) and just wanders about?

Is war in this game like: "have one huge decisive space battle between doomstacks and loser gets pushed back significantly until recovery/retreat."? Should the ship building be as fast as HOI or EU4?(depending on how time works in this game) And how do you think the reinforcement should work? What do people think?

I get the feeling fleet movement is going to be closer to an RTS, and they have stated they want each ship you build to have significance, so its probably going to be decent build times. I am also going to guess that wars will be decided by a number of engagements, some one said they saw the option to emergency retreat, so it might be closer to naval combat in EU4 then the army combat. As far as space fights go, i am guessing ground combat will be more like EU4, where you make an army, and they just smash into a planet, if you win the fight you get the planet.

God i hope ship's have a more HOI feel, i really dislike the galciv approach to ships, it's needs to feel like you have something important on the line when your shiny new cruiser takes flight, and not the oh well i have 300 more approach which also hopefully means we will have the ability to retrofit.
