Hi,

I don't know of the new EU3 engine allows this or it has been mentioned before, but as a suggestion for HoI3, I would like a built-in scripting language similar to the events script, but that allows a modder to create, move, and give orders to AI or player units. That way an event could actually create a D-Day force, move them across the Channel, and make them attack a set province.

It would also be nice to be able to define AI unit groups (air, sea, armies) and limit them to a set patrol/reserve area with a defined mission (to create a realistic AI interceptor force, for example, or mobile reserves). Or to make sure the AI coordinates land, sea, and air forces for a set objective.

I believe now in HoI2 it is possible to create units but not give them orders? If this would possible, it would really give the game an added challenge.

cheers,

kilolima

I like it. Coordinated operations between the Allies (i.e. Sicily, Italy, Normandy, etc.) would enhance the immersion. The UK couldn't have defeated Germany without the US and I don't believe the US would have had the will to defeat Germany without the UK. Plus, maybe it could be coded that the chances of the Italians to surrender have much to do with how much military support Germany provides in Greece & North Africa.
