I Want to write a Story. I Got a Problem. I have so many ideas Going through head. Native American, Civil War, Rev. War, F. and I. War. Stuff in that area Its all Fogging the Brain i can not think Str8t.

Need help Please.

Well, first, so you dont lose them. Write some short outlines of your ideas. After you do that you might be able to look at the outline for each idea and figure out which one is calling you the most. Whether you know it or not, your mind is probably already leaning in a certain direction. Putting your ideas to paper will help you focus. Let me know if it helps.

Just calm down. I can assure you, that some of these ideas, will dissipate on further inspection because they will prove to be not well suited for the current environment. So, pick a one, or ones which you think are the best and develop them. Speaking from experience, don't go off half cocked, think things through, develop a plan, and importantly know your limits.

in my experience a detailed outline of your ideas, plot, and main charaters helps A LOT. makes writing a book much easier. (still takes awhile though)
and don't be afraid to deviate from your outlines once you have made them.

There is a great deal of writing advice in the thread above called the SolAARium. I'd take a look through there for some great pointers.
