There is a way you can have both versions of the game on your machine. You would have to unistall HOI from your system but once you have done that it is pretty simple.

Install DD again, patch it to 1.3a. Make copy of the complete Doomsday 1.3a folder. Paste that to a new folder of whatever name you choose. Then reinstall armageddon over your first folder.

You will have to make seperate and distinct desktop icons for both versions of the game.

Damn sorry guys, but I will not be able to play today, not only that version problem (which I will solve later) but what is more I have no free time, I will leave my place in 18:30(15:30 GMT). You can find a sub, or drop me if you are angry about that I would even accept if AI plays for me first 12-24 months. Decisions is in your hands.

It seems we have to delay, the "trial-session" for next Sunday, the session WILL be started with whoever is present in Valkyrie at that time. I ask to everyone to try and arranje the 3 hours needed, and get this thing going.

Anyone wanting to drop out feel free to do so now. Please remember this is suposed to be FUN, we will be playing HoI2 not working, and against experienced players, that is a welcomed change to beating the crap of that stupid AI for the Zilionth time.

Edzako I don´t worry I don´t believe in substitutes, and I believe I can speak for everyone in the group in saying that everyone deserves the same treatment. Friday was Iudex that couln´t make it know it´s you no problem.

But please, everyone let´s try to arranje our privete lifes during the week so we all have the time to play next Sunday.

Robin, as you have noticed the game hasn´t started yet, the first session will be Sunday the 27 th ( if I´m not mistaken), 15.00 GMT I reccomend that you read the thread, and choose a country not yet taken by the other players, and post your choice in the thread.

The version will be DD pacth1.3a, 1936 scenario.

Show up in Valkyrie at 15.00 GMT on Sunday and that´s it.

About who plays what, then it might be a good idea to keep a continuasly updated list on the first page. So you dont have to dig in the-soon-to-be-endless number of pages

To me it seems the only major left is the USA. I dont really have much experience with this nation, its killer IC just ruins the fun of playing it in SP. But i could off course fix this with a few SP games in time until the game starts. But i feel that perhaps US, as the power-brooker it is, should be played by a experienced mp player? Since im a mp virgin, it might destroy the game balance if it turns out im a super noob.... But i do doubt that

Anyway, what difficulty are you playing with? Very hard seems a bit excessive, but that might just be me. I would prefer normal, or hard.

That way people with more time on the weekends could play through the weekend on both days, while those like me who have less time would play regularly on Saturday.

A number of people have wanted to play both days, but I am simply not available to do that. Furthermore if we co-ordianted their would be no conflict.

You could start that game this Sunday, then continue it the next Saturday and Sunday straight through. The K2 game is likely to end this week (not if I can help it mind you, but it is not looking great.)

Actually I think that's a Great idea and we could even form more games for during the week as well. I for one would like to get a weeknite game going!

Agreed Weekends are best for me as well. But having a little one i have to be flexable on the weekends as well

First of all the group´s first session will be in ValkyNet at 15.00 GMT Sunday 27th.

Secondly, Cueball´s idea is fine by me however, I think we should see how the first session will turn out, who will show up etc. Only then can we start thinking about other sessions.


Here is the list of choosen countries by player ( Players names in alphabetical order\ country choices by order of "arrival" in group ) :

Cueball, I really liked your idea i´ll post in that new thread you started, but this group will, of course, always be my first priority. I would prefer a two session week with this group, rather than a new one, but let´s see how things will turn out Sunday.

P.S. - Members, please confirm your presence. Let me know if you have a clean DD patch 1.3a version working.etc, etc etc
