I once knew the answer to this question, but I've forgotten it - so hopefully someone can tell me.

Once you've slept a monarch by event, can he be awakened later by event?

E.g. - James II of England starts the game dormant = no, and would normally take the throne in 1685. Prior to 1685, a sleepmonarch command makes James dormant = yes. If a later event includes a wakemonarch command for James in 1688, will he revert back to dormant = yes?

That's precisely what I did for the major_eng events I submitted to EEP, but I'd forgotten and hadn't bothered to check my own work for the answer. Doh.
