If EU and EU2 are anything to go by, a good rule of thumb for any Paradox game is that it won't really be up to snuff until the fifth patch.

I'm being realistic, Paradox are and will do more that most games companies to fix/enhance their products. But perhaps to many people are expecting minor miracles from HOI, afterall I doubt they are going to significantly change the games structure/algorithims.
However sometime I just hope a little as well and given the level of enthusiams for the game am optimistic that a HOI 2 in 12-18months time will be a much improved game ( I'd hazard a bigger improvement than between EU and EU2 )
