So playing a roleplay run where I play my traits. The previous Chancellor dies and I had ambition to be council member have the trait content and the King of England has both Scotland and England (and married to my daughter), and I have 22 diplomacy with duchies of merci, mumu (Ireland) and a couple of counties in wales, yet he picks another duke with 15 diplomacy.
