After playing a few decades with Denmark, I get annoyed at the map every single time it becomes winter. It's like the very bright country colors during the summer become extremely bland, bleak and even kind of depressing to look at, as it seems that the snow from the winter mapmode "leaks" through" to the political map mode. Other than annoying me while I play the game, it sadly also makes the distinction of colours even worse; I have trouble distinguishing between the colours of eg. Denmark and Poland or Hesse and The Hansa.

Is there a way to fix this, preferably just so that I can keep the nice and shiny colours the countries have, while there isn't any snow on the map?

I really like it, personally... you get the feeling (ebb and flow anyone?) of the seasons changing.

That is actually WAD, I think.

I'm pretty sure it's working as intended. I was just asking whether or not there was a way to turn it off. I wasn't sure which subforum to put it in, so I put it here.

I really like it, personally... you get the feeling (ebb and flow anyone?) of the seasons changing.

I get that, perhaps it's simply because my monitor is bad enough at distinguishing between colours in the first place. I just found it so bleak, that I have actually purchased an extra table light just to counter act the effect of the boring blandness in the room.
