Motorized troops fragile

Yes, indeed! I like to build some motorized divs because they can be moved around speedily to shore up defense in trouble spots. But they certainly are oddly fragile in combat. Has anyone ever complained about this to The Authorities?

I agree. They always dies first in my pz corps. I still use them but not with any other unit. Is this known?

They are just faster infantry, so they should die just as quickly in battle. And maybe be even more vulnerable to air attack - if they are being transported in their trucks.

As I posted in that thread in the GD, you probably aren't facing many units with a decent hard attack, so your soft targets will suffer far more casualties than the hard targets. Unless you are going to give regular infantry much better defense also, which I don't think they should, then motorized infantry shouldn't get better defense.

Edit: in case anyone wants to read the earlier discussion it is here (After the first few posts on org and combat.)

some info on infantry:

Normal Inf: soft target
Mot Inf: Soft target
Mech Inf : Hard target
Tanks: Hard target

If U use infatry to attack infantry in fortyfied positions U noticed rapid losses with infantry but not with mech-units and tanks. That is so because the enemy infantry has a lot more soft attack value then it has hard attack.
I would use Mot+Normal infantry only defensive or attacking with 3:1 odds or better, or if U are sure U attack weak troops with low stats and low org.

P.S. Vulture never sleeps hu? :D

With the Mot inf high org makes them dead before the org force them to retreat. And if yo not monitor it manually they will perish. Shouldn´t high org unit have a safeguard to prevent this?

Don't see why... If you feel so, it's an enhancement. Post it in the suggestions forum. Max_I watches it

Same issue exists with high morale in EU2. It would be useful to have two separate attack orders: fight until death or fight until strength < 5% (for example).

Good idea, but maybee russian and japan players want a human wave button. With increased damage on both sides.
