Italy loses captured Soviet territory when Germany makes peace with Soviets (1.05)

When I was playing as Italy (and as part of the axis allience) I had captured a fair amount of territory including all proviences on the black sea and the caucauses (including baku!). However when Germany and Russia made peace, when Germany had gotten as far as the Urals, I promptly lost all my territory to Germany. Shouldn't I have kept any captured territory? When German allies conquer parts of Poland, for example Romania captures Lwow, Romania still keeps Lwow, despite the Molotov-Rippentrop (sp?) pack... Shouldn't these same rules apply when Germany and Russia make peace?

This happened to me, and I had a shout and a whinge at the time. I assume that it was the 'bitter peace' and not just normal annexation? If this is the case then read on, if not just ignore me.

Having read the replies and had a think about it the problem seems to be that the 'bitter peace' is an event rather than the standard annexation. When it happened to me the Germans lost stuff and gained stuff as the event parcelled out the new reality. The only people considered are the CCCP, Germans and the Japanese so the Finns and the Italians get to go begging.

The fix that was recomendend to me was to remove the bitter peace from the events altogether, which I think I've done succesfully but I havent been back playing the Italians yet to test it - there'll be a proper explanation of how to fix this somewhere.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that it was as a result of the "Bitter Peace" between Germany and Russia. This might seem like a silly question, but how do I turn the bitter peace off? If I do turn of bitter peace, is there anyway that Germany and Russia reach peace or is it only the "Bitter Peace" that drives this scenario?

Although, if the bitter peace still occurs, shouldn't any axis powers keep the territory that they've captured??

Also did a bit of yelling and screaming, along with a couple of words I wouldn't use in front of my mother.

PS thanks for the welcome notes!

May be WAD but does not make sense all the time

Germandy and Sovites are at war,
Italy and Japan are at war with Soviets but not allied to Germandy.

BP occurs and Italy and Japan loose most if not all thier captured territories.

BP should NOT give captured territory back to Soviets if those territories are controlled by non-Axis powers.

Heck, one time I was playing US and at war with both Soviets and Germandy and lost all captured Soviet territories when BP occured. This make NO sense at all. Why would any non-Axis power give up gains because the Soviets and Germans make peace?

Please modify this event so non Axis powers do not loose their gains when it occurs.
