Consumer goods needs at war wrong for Soviet Union after annexing Germany

This may be the same problem as:
Bug 4417
Consumer Goods Need goes back to pre-war lvl after annexing Germany

status of which is invalid

I don't know what invalid means.

My problem:

As the Soviet Union I annexed Germany. I was still at war with the rest of the Fascist alliance: Vichy France, Italy, & Japan.

Despite the continuing war, my consumer goods needs soared from < 100 to around 700+ ! It's as if the game decided that after annexing Germany, the SU was no longer in a war with the remaining countries in the Axis.

I then DoWed the Allies to see if that changed the CG requirements. It did not. Despite being in wars against the two alliances, my consumer goods requirements were sky high.

I exited the game and rebooted the computer to see if anything changed. Nothing changed.

This game also had the Yugo alliance bug where Yugo entered both the Alliance and the Axis at the exact same hour.

I have saved games if they are needed to illustrate this. I have the renamed autosave of Dec 1, the Germany annexed save of Dec 21, and the war with the Allies of Dec 23.

the cg demand for the SU when being dowed by germany is special, as it depicts the "great patriotic war". if germany as a threat is eliminated, there´s no longer a reason to give the SU a special bonus. thus the bug report is invalid, others would have said WAD.

There's still a problem here. The consumer goods requirements are about half of available ICs when I am still at war. I had to set everything to just supplies and consumer goods in order to have any supply surplus. That's no research and no unit production when the Soviet Union has over 1,000 IC and is still at war.

I can understand an decreased CG need from the "great patriotic war" effect, but THE MAGNITUDE of this CG requirement is incorrect! When I had the Winter War, I could meet my CG needs, reduce dissent, and still do research and unit prodcution. Now that the SU has conquered Germany, I can't do almost any research or unit production because half of my ICs are needed for CGs.

The SU is still at war with Japan et al, so why would consumer goods requirements still be around 1/2 of available IC? Even when I am at peace as the SU in early 1936 I don't think that the percentage of IC needed for CG was anywhere near 50% Please explain how around 1/2 of available IC has to go to Consumer Goods when I am at war.

I played the SU once before in 1.04 and did NOT have this problem. Something is wrong here in this 1.05b SU game.

Presumably you have a very large army already if you need 500 ICs worth (1500+ supplies depending on techs) per day.

Should I need 50% of IC for Consumer Goods when I am at war?
That's my question.

I will post some Finnish War, war against Nazis, and after annexing Germany numbers tomorrow when I play my saved games a little more. 50% CG requirements during war is not correct.

My Consumer Goods need was 65% ! That is a need of 734 CG when I have 1130 IC.

There seems to be, HOWEVER, a problem/glitch in my games. Some of my saved games are not loading. I am playing 1.05b with no mods and did not edit any of the saved games. For example, I tried to load a saved games in Sep 39 just before the Winter War and it bombed. I have not had that kind of problem before. I'm just accepting this as a idiosyncratic glitch and have started a new SU 1936 game.

BTW, where does the 40% CG need come from? That still sounds very high if the Soviet Union is still at war with other Fascist countries after the SU annexes Germany.

The theory is probably that if Germany is gone then SU is no longer fighting for its life even if it is still at war. But what if USA is Axis? Or USSR is at war with the Allies? What exactly triggers a 'Great Patriotic War'?

re SU's CG needs before/after annexing Germany:

I am playing a 1.05b very hard game with no mods and had no observed problems with the game. While fighting Germany, the SU had a 7% CG requirement (CG/IC). After annexing Germany but still fighting the remaining Axis powers, the SU has a 17% CG requirement. So there is an effect from fighting the Great Patriotic War as the SU's CG needs rises by 10% of IC when it's GPW ends.
