I thought that was the base of the European style when it was announced. European style buildings are not the only building types to use W2W. What about brownstones, row houses and apartment buildings found in major cities. I thought the buildings were just a bonus to showcase the new functionality of the game. So now I wonder if W2W buildings will be something we can make for the game in the future. If so, wouldn't that leave modders with the ability to make their own European building sets? Of course plopping would help in this case also.

So instead of the game having huge pre-made sets of European buildings that add to the vanilla buildings by growth increasing the demand that would go beyond the system requirements, why not give us control over what we subscribe to and place in our cities with the W2W zoning as an option that supports any type of building that is usually built right against each other? This is typical in any big city.

So what we would need is:
W2W zoning tool
Ability to plop our buildings in addition to growables. Ploppable buildings can be a purely custom content thing. Just give us the green light in the asset editor.

I believe this will help give for all styles in any map where the player can make the city of their dreams. The more control you give us, the less anyone can complain if their system cannot handle what they're trying to put in the map. Besides....we gotta have W2W situations in a big city right?

Direct response on this in the other thread.
That conversation is more about making districts for W2W. I'm talking about W2W zoning. Districts will still restrict the styles. Sometimes there's W2W mixed with other types of housing on one block. If we have W2W districts, that limits what can be done in a district as far as building styles. If we place W2W buildings in a small area of only say 2 blocks, making that a district seems to be a waste. I'm thinking more of a tool than a whole district theme for this.

I saw your comment of "...typical of any big city." being beyond the theme limitation. If not, at least the specific technical limitations they mention may apply regardless. Maybe not.
