I'm having difficulties understanding the mechanics behind Conclave. When a law change is presented to the council I get a popup from my liege asking for my opinion on this. No matter what I press, "yes" "no" "ignore/abstain" my actual vote seems to based off of my stance in the council. What's the point of having a popup? To make things even harder, sometimes I don't know how stances impact on the final vote. When a burgher tax shifted law is presented, I have no idea in which stance I should be in to make a vote according to my desires. To top it all off, there are favors which are not hard to understand but are all over the place.

Any tips on the topic? What stance are you guys using in certain scenarios?
