I have tried to act through my ministers, and have been insulted for doing nothing. I have tried direct action, and have been painted as a dictator. I will now listen to what you, the people have to say. If you demand I jump off a bridge, I am your servant. This will not turn into such bureaucracy as the national assembly. This is direct. When the people speak, I shall answer in the clearest way possible. If you vote to dissolve all law and order and let terrorists wander the streets with military weapons, I believe you have already asked for this by not protesting your parties when they did nothing. Not only that, but you recieved it! I'm not going to ask for you to vote for anyone, I'm not even going to say long live eutopia, because I may not remain here much longer. Celebrate that if you will, I will not stop you unless I am told to so by the people. State your opinion now, for in a short amount of time, I predict you shall be under a King again, and this liberty will be taken with every other you posses.

Seriously though, if I may voice my opinion then I say take controll of Farpoint by all meanse neccesary. They defied EUtopia and kidnapped Dr. deVlaminck.

Admiral Tulp, who is 'they'? It's such a broad statement. 'They' say so, 'they' did it, 'they' kidnapped vlaminck. We don't have a damn clue who took Vlaminck. For all we know, he's in India or Denmark. But if they people want an attack, I shall have no choice but to launch one. Eutopia is a democracy for today at least, though I will offer no promise for even tomorrow.

Mr. President, Dr deVlaminck was the whole time in Farpoint offcourse where he has been chatting with the rebells since 3 months. Did the Topas do anything to protect dVlaminck? No they didn't and I strongly suspect them of supporting the kidnappers.

I agree with the Admiral.

We tryed peaceful ways to create peace in W.E.T but it did not work. I support a force of all 100 special forces members,30,000 Eutopian soldiers,1 aircraft carrier with 5 escort ships, and as many aircraft as possible.

Me and Admiral Tulp will be in command. With Admiral Tulp in command of sea and air and myself in command of land operations.

We can all change the details though.

What evidence? The only thing I know that deVlaminck was in Farpoint before he was kidnapped. He was chatting with the Topas, who else could have kidnapped? I've been in Farpoint myself, I must say that they do a good job, if you're talking about excactly knowing who and when somebody get's in.

Well the main piece of evidence, the one that in fact allows to know Dr. DeVlamnick has been missing at all appears to point at some EEP group, as opposed to any Topa movement, and why would you single out the Topas of all the WET inhabitants? Why not Thorsbeard, or the very fact that the mercenary WET money came from inside the military? What have you thought about that?

A basic fact is that the EUtopian Government isn't in control of Farpoint and maybe other parts of the WET. This is intollerable.

Mr. President, I have not tried to hide the fact that I view some of the actions of your administration could have been handled in a more tactful manner, but I remain in general support of your administration. Rumors abound that you will not seek a third term. That is your desicion and I respect it.

However, there is pressing affairs of state that must be dealt with now. We need, and I repeat need to send a delegation to the United States and do what we can to restore relations with them. I know it is common for the Eutopian public to cry out that something needs to be done and not actually do anything themselves. I intend to break that mold. If you will accept me, I am willing to lead a small delegation of prominent Eutopian leaders to visit Washington D.C., and speak with the leadership their regarding Eutopia's future relationship with the United States. Similar delegations should be sent to the leading nations of Europe that have joined the U.S. in forbiding military trade with Eutopia.

Indeed. *raises an eyebrow* I am sure... it was just a slip of the toungue. Ha!

How are we not in control. Our Police maintain law and order, we collect taxes, what exactly is the problem Per Tulp? That the city put up a checkpoint to make sure arms are not flowing into the city, that the citizens of the town decided not to affiliate with the base.... that is the basis of calling for a military venture.... to do what?

Has a non-military solution even been floated? The only thing the government tried was to send that madman (Rebel) to insult the people of Farpoint. Maybe the MILE or the President should ask them to take down the checkpoint if it is such a concern to you.

And.. I repeat... it has been demonstrated, that monies from the military were transfered to the mercenaries accounts. Is the WET out of control, or is the government's control of the military?

There is a COUNCIL in controll of Farpoint, they make their own laws, they set up their own militia.

I didn't know you thought that Dr deVlaminck was a madman.
Ever thought of a hacker? A hacker could have hacked the Military's account, I'm no expert on computers but I don't think we have money for good protection.

Every town in EUtopia has a council that makes laws, a towncouncil..... and I didn't mean Per Dr.... IIRC he tagged along w/ the official government representative.... one completely without ability, an RD representative IIRC.. caused quite a stir, and now a common aquaintance of yours I beleive.

Do you seriously think sending troops in will acheive anything but further chaos. just how well trained is the army in crowded control. Armed troops facing off with protesters/rioters is a dangerous situation especially when the troops are inexperienced in that situation. A soldier thinks he is being shot at and next minute u have 20 dead civillians. Or even worse the troops face armed resitsance and soon you have the army involved in gun a battles in built up areas and again civillians die in the cross fire.

If you want to see the results of a democracy trying to restore order and control using troops look at the british in Northern Ireland. Do u want that sort of situation to develop in Eutopia?
