Its official, my EU2 cd (which i actually bought too! 
) is busted...lol. Its too scratched up to install or play the game, whenever i enter the game, the screen just...blacks out. It can't even be read.
Needless to say, im going to have to improvise, please bear with me while i do this isn't over!

TreizeV, beginnning with version 1.07 you don't need the CD anymore. As long as you have the game installed, you can just run it. So no more excuses! Get back to work -- er, I mean, get back to playing EU2!

I'd say you were busted there TreizeV. Then again, if you weren't play 1.07 or better, then we're all pretty much screwed until you can get things jury rigged back to completing this AAR. Now that's a scary thought!

Sorry for the wait, and no im not trying to bail on this cd or no cd, it is a fact that my EU2 can't work anymore. So gimme some time plus i got final exams in the next too weeks haha, but i should be able to squeeze in one more update....

If the game is on your compiter, you can still update to 1.07 (and 1.08 for that matter) - it is still lined up in the updates area. Just an idea.
But games started in an earlier version are generally unplayable in 1.07. I know Stroph was able to manage the feat in his Brunei game, but when I moved from 1.05 to 1.07 my saved games were unsalvagable -- for example, during the first month I would have a bill for an astronomical amount of money for military maintenance, and go bankrupt.

To be honest Coz1, I was lazy, after it didn't work anymore, after repeated tries, i uninstalled it =/. It also has to do with my new video card as well....i dunno why but even without the Cd my screen just goes...black.
Anyways...i've been improvising....just to show that i'm actually trying something i'd like your imput on this....
My computer doesn't run/show EU2 anymore, but Victoria is working fine. So i just fiddled around....

What do you guys think? I've only changed the Dates, Generals (i'm going to add allied generals rest assured.) And i've half heartedly redrawn Europe. Do you think this is good? (one advantage is i can have a larger army than in EU2, i was never able to make the Grande Armee over 300,000 men, in Victoria i think i can.
Do you guys like it? If not, i'll see if i can get my hands on another copy of EU2, and maybe get someone to check my video card/monitor.

OMG how did you get a retroactive no time limit patch? I've been attempting to produce a 1796 scenario for ages.........
Haha Ptan, its not what you think, i merely changed the start date of the scenario to some random date in 1809 so that you guys know where i'm starting from (the current AAR is at november though, this is just prior to the invasion of spain.)
When i unpause the game...it reverts back to the original time period (which is 1836) So just take the date and subtract 17 years from it hehe. I'll be doing the math anyway. (Believe me, i looked for patches, but they all seem to just crash the program.)

No, I think this might work. As long as the story continues, I'd be just as happy for you to make it up the rest of the way. That's some nice editing though. You should try to get ahold of a new EUII copy though - how can you live without it?

You know what why not start this aar in Victoria instead of EU2 ? That would be an massive change,but I'm positively sure it would be worth it !!
