As for our beloved HOI4 COUNTDOWN thread it is just 22 days waiting left for the best strategy game of 2016 to be in our hands

here posting some original ww2 era photographs with a little possible data about it.
war photography is one of the most important propaganda weapon for most nations

and ww2 is no exception for use of photography to use in propanganda films and poster on the home front.

world war 2 is a well documented time frame with some amazing photographs taken.

Nice one DiegoVaz . There are heaps of great WW2 pics - here's one of HMS Warspite in the Indian Ocean in 1942, as part of the British force in the area intended to counter the Japanese (before the Japanese sent a whole mess of CVs and supporting ships into the area, and the Brits backed off).

Tattoos became an armed forces staple in WWII which started the growth of the industry in the US. Very rarely was an American GI without a tat. This one looks just flat out painful. I don't even want to imagine what type of needles and equipment they used back then.

Here is an interesting picture of a bunch Italian soldiers in the back of a truck -- plus a hand drawn picture of Mickey Mouse with a rifle chasing the Imperial Lion -- symbol of Haile Selassie. Obviously, more evidence that Disney was a fascist....

Nice one!
Tattoos aren't really too painful unless it's on top of bone. I guarantee all that color on his collar bones hurt like hell.
