Hello, I'm playing Stellaris on Ubuntu, and there is this visual glitch that appears every time after about 10 minutes of gameplay. If I restart the game, everything is normal for about 10 minutes. It's not game-breaking, but is definitely pretty annoying and takes me out of the immersion. Should I open a bug report? Here are some screenshots of what I see:
Bug1.png
As you can see, the arrow is glitching out like crazy.

Bug2.png

Not only the arrow, some species' portraits are also glitching out. The longer I play, the more portraits start glitching.

Bug3.png
As you can see, not only my primary species is in the matrix.

Bug4.png
All types of arrows in the map seem to be affected by this.

Bug5.png

Now that's an arrow I wouldn't trust.

I tried other games, even EU4, on the same machine, and they behave normally. Any suggestion?
Specs:
Processor: Intel Core i5-4690K
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 285
OS Type: 64 bit
RAM: 8 GB

I was mostly asking, as if you were using the open-source drivers, I could have helped you in getting this bug investigated by the drivers devs.

AMD is progressively stopping their proprietary driver: the proprietary kernel module has been deprecated, and now the proprietary OpenGL stack is using the open-source kernel module. The open-source OpenGL stack is getting close to OpenGL 4.5 support, so apart from features for their pro cards, there is not much more to be found in the proprietary stack.

If you decide to switch to the open-source driver, try with a recent kernel (4.4, 4.5 or even 4.6), and a recent version of Mesa (11.2.x). You could also test using the Intel driver (likewise, with recent versions of the kernel and Mesa).

Welp, after 2 days of reinstalling my whole system because I didn't purge the old fglrx before updating the kernel and that caused a complete fuckup of my system, I can confirm that using the mesa drivers doesn't have this problem. If you're out there and have the same problem as I have, be sure to do apt-get purge fgrlx* before updating the kernel to avoid total destruction of your life (and files).

Anyway, thank you Pierre Moreau for the advice, now the game plays better than ever!

version of the kernel and of Mesa are you using (for future reference)?

kernel version:
4.4.0-22-generic

(not knowing how to get the mesa version, I'll return what I can find under glxinfo)
glxinfo | grep version returns:
GLX version: 1.4
Max core profile version: 4.1
Max compat profile version: 3.0
Max GLES1 profile version: 1.1
Max GLES[23] profile version: 3.0
OpenGL core profile version string: 4.1 (Core Profile) Mesa 11.3.0-devel (git-a507dcc 2016-05-19 xenial-oibaf-ppa)
OpenGL core profile shading language version string: 4.10
OpenGL version string: 3.0 Mesa 11.3.0-devel (git-a507dcc 2016-05-19 xenial-oibaf-ppa)
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.30
OpenGL ES profile version string: OpenGL ES 3.0 Mesa 11.3.0-devel (git-a507dcc 2016-05-19 xenial-oibaf-ppa)
OpenGL ES profile shading language version string: OpenGL ES GLSL ES 3.00

Edit: just for completion, I was on kernel 3.14 before
