Again, don't take it so seriously. :p

There is several errors in the CHL parties files, you sent me.

Well, that's erwan's work, as indicated....it seemed to work fine when I've tested the file, but perhaps an error or two slipped through between versions....they can be corrected, I suppose.

Edit 2: You should put slaves in VNZ to event 307004 work.

That would require POP modifications, yes. I was leaving those for later (Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, etc. and many other countries need them too). In any case, the event was mostly meant as a legal/formal one (VNZ has slavery=yes at start).

Edit 3: Event 304000 The Baltimore incident. Isn't it too harsh? the option should be exchanged.

This is another event from erwan, which was posted in this thread too....if I remember correctly, that USA event will only fire after Chile has refused to apologize, so why do you think that the options should be exchanged?

Edit 4: Event 123006 has two desc

Another erwan event. If you are sure of this (I can't check the events from here right now, I'm at work), then please leave only the correct/best one and upload the corrected file(s), ok? Thanks.

Well it was just a idea. After all it is your backyard :D !!!

Now a question for you all.

In my other set of events, which represent a failed anexation of Amapá (a territory near French Guyana). France invaded the region and it was historical resolved by diplomatic channels, where the Swiss, intervene as mediators. But in ahistorical way b) Declare Open War and c) Offer to Buy.

In the case of War. Should I make 2 "Peace Treaty" events?
a) France occupy some provinces and it triggers to BRZ recognizing and forfeiting any future claim, FRA receives on Amapá, and gives back all other provinces.
b) Brazil occupy French Guyana, triggering the other "Peace Treaty" where it receives all Guyana.

But be sure that in both "Peace Treaty" events there will be a b) option to continue.

What do you think? Do it or leave it?

As I'm concerned these two "Peace Treaty" sounds appropriate to the situations and that's the kind of event quite uncommon in the game so I think it's arel good idea.

EDIT: And another question. How much should Acre (2381, 2382) and Amapá (2124) cost?

Acre?Amapá?
5.56$!

We should think about the price if we choose around 50k or 100k as Scythe said, 'cause it's switching from the simple to double :) ,anyway 100k appears to me a little bit huge

I'm sorry but one more time there is something that I don't find and that's why I'm blocked:
How increase the military points that allows the player to create officers?

I like the idea of having events that allow Brazil to get French Guyana. I think each one of these provinces (the tow in Acre and Amapá) should cost around 25,000.

I noticed you added African_minor slave pops in Uruguay. This is correct obviously, but does Uruguay have any event that abolish the Slavery?

Since these slaves were owned by Brazilians, maybe thee Brazilian Abolition of Slavery should trigger an event in Uruguay that makes all slaves there be transformed into labourers.

A small mistake I noticed is that the word "Ambassador" is miswritten (Ambassor). The correct spelling is Ambassador.

I added the slaves, because they were needed in the slavery abolition event. And you must remember that this is a WIP.

Their slavery abolition, have nothing to do with Brazil. It ocurred in 1849 during the Guerra Grande. Cause Rivera and Oribe needed Manpower like Bento Gonçalvez.

yesterday I used the M$ Word, to correct these and other bizarre mistake that I made.

Inside BrazilMOD there is a READ-ME, with a log.

The South America has the work of Scythe and Erwan ar Skoul added to mine, and I have to say that I've done the integration very fast to post it yesterday, and it don't have readme, cause both Scythe and Erwan didn't made them.

However, what I have seen is: Change in OOB, leader files, partie files and a couple of good events, including the Pacific War. But I didn't reviewed all the files, yet. But they look good.

Tomorrow I will release the new BrazilMOD with another 20 new events.

In my case I *did* make a few instructions and included them in the .zip I sent you, but they were not necessary after you joined both MODs together. Of course, there was still no "log" of all the changes made anyway.

If you want me to post a list/log of all the non-Brazil MOD changes, then sure I can try to do it tonight.

There's no need to be sorry, it's all within reason. Just update it, when you have the chance, with all of your material & changes please.

According to this map:

mapa_regencial.gif

The province 2076 and 2077 that in the 1836 scenario starts with CLM, shoul d start as BRZ, as I suspected earlier. In the others scenario they start as BRZ, and I can't find any reference of a treaty involving CLM and BRZ.

So we shall correct this.

Well, I think this would have to be debated further before any such change is made, as my sources in Spanish (not just Colombian, which is one of the parties in conflict, but also a couple of other sites) say the exact opposite (and apparently so did Paradox's, as they also give the provinces to CLM in a couple of the other scenarios...until 1914 when the situation was already defined in BRZ's favor).

But still, the important thing is this: We have to find a compromise that works in the game, trying to maintain impartiality, and not just say "BRZ position is totally truth and CLM position is a total lie", or vice versa.

I'll put up a couple of links here as soon as I find them in my bookmarks.

Okay, first off here's an Argentinian webpage, showing this map in English:

http://www.cema.edu.ar/ceieg/arg-rree/Mapas/mapa-a.htm

As you can see, there are arrows pointing to the areas in conflict, with the words "Border adjustments 1900-1910".

The area is also included as under Neogranadian (Colombian) control in this map of the colonial situation circa 1799, when Spain was the ruling power:

http://upl.mine.nu/uplfolders/upload5/__1799as.gif

And finally Colombian map (evidently not impartial; it's just to show the Colombian position, as you have shown the BRZ position):

http://upl.mine.nu/uplfolders/upload5/imagen8.jpg

IMHO, the easiest, painless and less biased way to solve the situation would be to create a BRZ "The Vasquez Cobo-Martins Treaty" event that triggers a CLM "The Vasquez Cobo-Martins Treaty", if those provinces are owned by CLM and not BRZ at the time, that can occur in 24 April 1907, with the option_a to give up the territories (and would use the type = removecore which = [province id] to remove the CLM claim) to BRZ in exchange for improved relations (the option_b would be asking for money/compensation and option_c would reject the agreement, which would worsen relations terribly between the two countries and possibly lead to war), so that the issue can be defined by the game and the player, and not by us directly.

EDIT: Found several online references to the existance of the treaty that defined the land borders between both countries, which apparently was this one: The Vasquez Cobo-Martins Treaty of April 24, 1907

There it goes...it's only missing your Brazil MOD changes and several of your latest events (and those for non-South American nations).

I was about to forget it, I don't rode anything about the european blockade upon VNZ in 1902-03 maybe you projected to make one, anyway I found here some informations about it. Tell me what do you think and which type of event could we create
:)

I didn't found anything in portuguese or in english, and all maps seems to include the area as BRZ, however you proved me wrong.

You can use 128084-128088 to your events Scythe. The only remark that I can do is this one: 128xxxc action_a and 128xxxd action_c has a declaration of war and a loss of prestige, you must remember that any declaration of already has a loss of prestige included. And in 128xxxd action_a has a gain of prestige, that is already included in any "gain" of territory.

Aside that is just matter of sending the files. Great Event Tree.

I am still intrigued about the lack of BRZ information about it!!!

EDIT: DUMB, DUMB, DUMB me. In portuguese is "Tratado de Bogotá", treaty of Bogotá. However this led me to a site where I found EVERY frontier problem of BRZ. Wait for new events Fellas.

EDIT 2: I will have to redo the description of AMAPÁ conflict, the French wasn't so beligerant towards the issue.
