Success!!!

Code:
Trigger = {
   garrison = { country = REB province = 2651 size = 1 }
   NOT = { garrison = { country = URU province = 2651 size = 1 }
}

Success!!! The 1st Rivera Coup is unsuccefull if ARG doesn't help, and the 2nd Rivera Coup is succefull. It's harder if URU is Jomian, but...

The only problem is: I can't delete the Rebels. There should be a command where you can remove the rebel, but I gave a full division to URU to kill those in the meanwhile.

Now to the The Great War and then the War against Rosas.

Look, all this script, doesn't allow to change the way of History!

Somethings exist, because others are below there!

You should be allow to change the way of things, that's is funny in game.
It's really not good, to see, the ways of you may go!

It's really not good, to see, the ways of you may go!

I just started scripting, first I am doing an historical way, yes. There will be two main ahistorical lines. 1) Monarchy stands; 2) Floriano calls an election.

Ingame there is already some ahistorical options: 1) Keep Rio-Grande Safe. 2) Continue trading slaves and finally 3) Fight vs UK.

Even so, I played a couple of times, always with diferent results, even if I decided to play a historical game. There is plenty of options, you just can see them. Industrialize, or not? Up to you. Beligereant or not? Up to you?

I've made only 98 events, it doenst cover the intervetion in Uruguay, the Paraguay War, the border conflicts with France and UK, anything from 1900 on. So there will be at least 200 more events.

If you look into other threads, you will see the same or even worst options to each country. It's not the events that maje the game, it is the player!

I am pretty happy with the results, the others that had played too. In the ultimate way is just a matter of editing one line in the scenario and turn off all brazilian related events.

Many (not all, certainly, some with reasons behind it) of my events for other South American nations also have "b" options, so it's not like we all want to make the end result 100% historical and period (even though it would be preferred for the AI to go down that path more often than not, IMHO, just to present a somewhat historical situation to the player when he plays other countries); credible alternatives are just as good, and the player can choose to follow them.

pimparel said:

A huge number, to say the least, but if you manage to continue to achieve such a level of detail with Brazil, I'm sure your compatriots will still be proud of your efforts (perhaps even TiTaN_Victor, to an extent, who knows ). :D

It's not the events that maje the game, it is the player!

Exactly...if the player wants to have a super-isolationist Brazil, for example, he can do it, despite all the events. Or if he wants to turn it into a South American conqueror, he can accomplish that too. It's all up to him.

Well I am counting Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay as my "operation area", and a couple of French an English evnts too. So 200 is a estimative of all 6. The Paraguay War buildup will have 10 to 15 events, alone.

Generalisimo as a Argentinian, perhaps you could help me here. I am making two sets of AI (ARG_36 & ARG_PW). The questions are:

Who to protect? URU?
Who to befriend? BRZ, SPA, ENG, USA?
Who to combat? PRG?

And about CHL and PEU, I understand that CHL and ARG had some conflicts about their southern frontier, is it right?

And the relation with PEU?

Economy? Cattle and ...? Industry?

As I rule, I am making all industry based in internal RGO's of the country.

Thanks.

BrazilMod 040121

Well, now it's not Brazil anymore :D. There is some Uruguayan, and one Argentinian event.
AI for Paraguay, Uruguay too.
I found the strangest and till now unheard (to me) treaty and included. A treaty with Uruguay and Rio-Grande! Found in the Uruguayan Army Homepage. Already coded.

Paused the work on Brazil and directing to Uruguay and La Guerra Grande. Doing some Argentinian linked to the event too.

This release is the one that I sent to Generalisimo to VIP 1.000001 ;)

Good, but please always check the latest official IDs list though, when making ARG/etc. events (in the case of URU/PRG and BRZ/RRG it's much easier, of course, since there are no other events yet, other than yours).

Oh, and two comments...

pimparel said:

There was conflict & tension over the southern territories like Patagonia & whereabouts, which were at times claimed by Chile...but there was no real fullscale war though, and Argentina managed to mostly impose its will through a treaty in 1881, keep that in mind (ie: the "option_a"s should reflect this, if you make any events for that).

And the relation with PEU?

It should be neutral or mildly positive at best....PEU had no frontier with ARG, of course, that would be BOL instead....in which case, the relations would be about the same.....not best of friends, but not true enemies either.

My ARG events are numbered backwards, I started with 107999, as I have done with BEL, ENG and will have to do with FRA.

Generalisimo,

My spanish is very poor, and I haven't found anywhere a detailed description in english or in portuguese (not even in wikipediia :( ). So the only Link I found was this.

Rosas was Governor of a province, which had power over the others; and centralized all power and money on this province?

With the Army he silenced the opposition

So later, he named Urquiza a Chief of the Armed Forces and Governor of Entre-Rios. Who later rivalized Rosas, cause he didn't call a new Constitution?
And after a "Reelection" of Rosas, Rebelled and saved Rivera and with the his help and from Brazil marched against Rosas.

And to worsen the situation ARG was blockade!

Missed something? Is it correct? If it is, can I change the capital to Entre-Rios and call Rosas a Rebel like you said earlier?

Well, that time was a time of "caudillos"... these people were like "owners" of the provinces... Urquiza was the caudillo of Entre Ríos, everything that happened there, passed through his hands.
There was caudillos in all provinces, Rosas was the most notorious in Buenos Aires.
After the battle of unitarios and federales, Rosas came out victorious (representing The "Federación" ;) ). He was only the "Governor of Buenos Aires", but he controlled all the nation. ;)
He was considered the "Restaurador de las leyes" ("restorer of the laws", or something like that in english :D ).... because he brought order when Argentina was a complete caos of caudillos all around the nation.
Urquiza was one of the most powerfull caudillos that existed in the nation, and he wanted a true constitution for Argentina... Rosas promissed that... but he failed to accomplish it... he continued to focus all the trade in Buenos Aires, not respecting the "Federalismo" of the nation (all provinces wanted to participate in trade). Rosas kept Buenos Aires as the most important port, something that the caudillos of other provinces didn't like.
When Urquiza beated Lavalle (for the second time), Rosas named him Commander of the Army.
Finally all the discussion for a new constitution ended when Rosas finally declined again to made it... Urquiza totally angry decided that Rosas must be removed because of his "unitarian thoughts" (*)... so he gathered the army and advanced against Rosas...
Rosas couldn't stand the combined army of Urquiza, it was one of the biggest fights of the period... Rosas was removed from charge and Urquiza took command to made one year later the first constitution of Argentina (1853).
Rosas based his power upon fear, he used the army to silence his enemies in Buenos Aires, so no one could stand against him.

About the blockade, if you are reffering to the one made by France, it was removed in 1848.

That's a quick brief of what happened. :D

(*) The unitarios were the ones that wanted all the power concentrated in Buenos Aires. The federalists wanted a true federation, were none of the provinces have any privilege over the others.

After that "history post"... :D
I think the best way to solve that is to made Rosas a rebel in Buenos Aires.
The true battle was Entre Ríos-Corrientes (not the entire Argentina) supported by Montevideo (not the entire Uruguay, but it doesn't change anything :D ) and Brazil against the army of Rosas in Buenos Aires, not an easy thing to simulate... ;)

If you give me some time, i could try to make those events... :D

Well I am not looking for making internal events about ARG, I am trying to understand it to make events for Uruguay and the siege of Montevideo, obviously involving ARG, and BRA, FRA, ENG, aside URU.

Rivera did declare war on Rosas. But in game terms it can't be done, cause URU is 3 provinces and have no manpower to hold for more than one month (I tested, believe me!!! 2 INF make my case), and it would be annexed.

So I am making a long flagged series of events to simulate the fact without a proper war. And in my understanding if there wasn't this event Rosas could endure for more time, cause it FRA,ENG and later BRZ wouldn't be blockading ARG. So I put a flag there to be used in Rosas fall or possible takeover of URU.

Cause the real motive behind the FRA, ENG support was to ensure the navigation, understand commerce here, of the rivers in Bay of La Plata.

The file is half-done, if you want to look into, I can send you (it's too long to post here). As a matter of fact it would be sent in VIP 1.1!

Edit: The file is Here - It's half done. There is no descriptions, yet.

Edit: And if there wasnt international intervention, there is a possibility of Oribe beeing succesful taking-over URU, and a extreme possiblity of a fusion of the two, leading to a conflict with BRZ.

Important!

Several events must be redone, modified, or given follow-ups in order to meet Generalisimo's new instructions/clarifications regarding the use of certain commands. See his thread for more details.

I have already started doing this with my own events, but evidently this goes for all creators/events involved (in other words, pimparel, this also applies for your Brazil events). It will be a bit of work, but it'll provide much better balance in the long run (and it's best to do it now, and not later).

EDIT: I've just finished all the required changes/additions, now I just need to test them a bit....

I take part to french mod and I work about South America and Scythe advised me to come here in order to attempt to coordonate our work about argentina's history and for all the zone why not(?).

Well, here I am, I just finished my argentina's history summary (sorry I don't translated it, it's in french, therefore ask me if you want a translation or explanations):
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2446123#post2446123

you could find here also my Ecuador's history summary.

I hope we could work in common beacause, as you know it ,I guess, there's a lot to do about this continent in Vic

Most of my events are in accord to those rules, however some commands that he says are to go to inventions are used in victoria vanilla events.

As for example the decrease in reliability of miltary units in the italian unification, I used as the army revolts against the monarchy.

And some constitution events too. Like type = tariff_eff value = X, I used in positive then later in negative to represent a MAJOR change in tariffs.

EDIT: PM'ed Generalisimo about the topic.
