It is current as late 2007, i've not had a chance to update since, but has probably 95% of all events..

Vanilla graphics

I installed the VIP interferace, but I find it too confusing and want to return to Vanilla graphics. How do I do that?

Hello VIP staff,

I've tried installing this mod on my one (the one time I don't make an extra copy of the game) Ricky installation, and somehow bungled it up so it didn't work. I've deinstalled/reinstalled Victoria several times, but each time I do the extra VIP campaigns show up in the selection menu.

I do want to get this mod to work eventually, but right now I just want a working copy of the vanilla game. How do I purge VIPR 0.2 from my computer?

The reason the Vip files is still there is because the unintall process only deletes the files created by paradox. So what you have to do is.
After the uninstall process is complete, locate the Victoria folder and delete everything left in there.
Then you can reinstall Vicky and everything should be like paradox intended it.
And by the way if you do a clean install, it really doesn't matter if a couple of the old VIp scenario files are still there, they won't affect the paradox created scenarios, since all files connected to them has been overwritten by the reinstall process.

The interface doesnt change where stuff is and what it does. Not sure how that can be a problem.

If you mean the new resources in VIP, then yes they work, you just have to enter the name of what the old resources was.

So for livestock, you would use cattle as the cheatcode, since in VIP the cattle icon has been recycled to be used as livestock.

I'm guessing you are playing VIP:R 0.2 to get "livestock" in-game then?? "Livestock" was basically an amalgamation of other resources, to free up slots for new resources. The same was done with "Luxury Goods", "Clothes" and "Chemicals" (just to name a few).

Here is a summary of the changes. The name on the left is the in-game name of the resource, and the name on the right is what it has been changed from (and subsequently what you should type in as a cheat if you wish to get some of that resource):

Code:
[U][B]New Resource:[/B][/U] [U][B]Old Resource:[/B][/U]

Sugar Wool
Chemicals Fertilizer
Hulls Ammunition
Livestock Cattle
Clothes Regular Clothes
Luxury Goods Luxury Furniture

Accordingly, many factories have changed names, etc... to take into account the new resources.

Apologies if I've missed anything off.

No, I believe that these are the only resource changes, and as I stated above, there are also changes with factories to take into account the new resources.

EDIT: I'm not exactly sure what luxury clothes have been changed to (if anything at all!), and so will probably need to wait until after 0.3 to see the full changes of all resources - there have been other new suggestions! I'll try and compile a list for everyone, and hopefully that will get stickied in the VIP forum (if one of the other development team doesn't already make a summary of the resource changes - which will probably occur from the changelog, anyway).
