Not sure what you mean. The event history is saved for the whole game so you should be able to find it. Probably in 1838 you will see "Egypt went with Our current status is fine in Muhammad Ali's Request For Hereditary Status". That would mean they took the "no war" choice. In any case, you should be able to fire the event again and they'll probably choose war this time.

Likely because it would make little sense for Alex II to make the 11 Nov speech, Constantinople Conferece to be held, and then not have a war between RUS and TUR until potentially up to close to 5 years later. 11 Nov speech was an intent for war, so it should be fairly soon on the horizon.

In terms of historicity, yep indeedy. But the problem is that I had barely managed to move my troops out of Russia territory when this event fired. Was Alex II suicidal? Me and my allies - UK and France - went to war immediately again. Russia's war exhaustion hadn't even had time to come down and though the cash management for a long war is tricky by 1878 or so this is no longer really an issue, especially when your opponent is in even worse trouble than you.

I think I'll be unhashing for my own games from now on, at least when I play Russia or OE.

thing is you have to judge the idea of say making it so that there is no peace treaty for the 11 Nov Speech to fire (which would avoid the problem you had) with the people who play Turkey and, knowing that it won't fire if there is a peace treaty, try to circumvent the whole Russo-Turkish war chain by DoW Russia in the mid-1870s. So it's one of those 'damned if you do, damned if you don't" type situations as an event maker.

Ummm, well, not quite. The event does have a

element too.

What do u have in your mind? It's quite a turmoil back then. You'll have to think of multiple chains of events with different outcomes. So many factions.

And still, I hear nothing about my suggestion for an Ottoman victory in the Russo-Turkish War...
For those of you who weren't around, I suggested that there be an event for what would happen if the Ottomans beat back the Russians, Serbs, and Montenegrins in the Russo-Turkish War. This would be of huge significance, since the collapse of the Ottoman Empire was made possible by the perception, both internally and externally, that it was weak. If the Ottomans defeated the Russians it would have gone a long way towards quelling some of the nationalist sentiments in the Balkans, and possibly made the British and French need to re-assess their interests in the eastern Mediterranean. Thoughts?

I remember refuseing to answer certain qustion that where none of the government bussien like how big my waste product are and about my sexual activalty and do I beat my wifes. They treaten me with 100 dollar fines and jail time I refuse and they did nothing to me. By the USA Cont they can only ask who in your familty ,they ages for redrawn congress s

Balkan Nationalism goes down.
Ottomans get some money events to help them shake of debt.
Constitution remains enforce
They get control of Georgia and Armenia...

And with an Ottomans getting Georgia and Armenia, wouldn't that make Persia jab Ottoman in the side right there(geographically at least)? Or would Azerbaijan create the point in the side?

And would it be cores? Also I have an idea....Was there any culture that...like...if the Ottomans would've won, been considered as state culture afterwards? You mentioned the Balkans not being so pissed off, maybe with the Ottomans winning the war the big nations(France/UK etc etc) would recognize the Ottomans as the true rulers of the area? Maybe getting them more cores in the Balkans or the cultures....Just an idea....I'm always for bigger Empires

I'm no Ottoman Empire history buff, mind you, is just an idea.

Well before the Great War, the Ottomans had their own 'zone of influence' along the border. They supported Sunni Kurdish tribes (guns and money) in Azerbaycan, Luristan and Kordestan (Ardalan) inside Iran. If they had been on the winning side during the war, they may well have been able to have gained a favourable border adjustment given a weakened Russia and Britain... (they were the main reason that the Ottomans could not unilaterally change to Iranian Ottoman border....

Ahh, I'm sure scripting takes a lot of time, and seeing as VIP as far as I know has always been about doing what historically happened first, I'm not sure if they would add the alt-history ottoman empire victory. I don't know if they are or aren't mind you, just saying thats possible and perhaps we shouldn't just expect them to script our ideas I've got no skill so I cant though.

I understand that scripting takes a long time, but my original request for these events occurred over 2 years ago. I would think that, some time in there, someone would have come up with enough time to at least script one single event, if not implement it. I shouldn't complain really, since I have no scripting abilities myself, but I'd at least like a little response from a scripter.
