Also I am a liitle at loss with this local_flag, can you send the file to pimparel at hotmail dot com, so I can look at home with more time?

I think that there is a issue, there and the event won't work, but the idea is good, especially checking if the alliance is im control of Paris.

I forgot to ask whether or not the three hurrays event was going to be made less dependant on French and Spanish events. Nothing hurts a Prussian player more than seeing "France went with who cares about Spain" pop up on the screen. The earlier events, specifically the Frankfurt assembly, should also be less likely to occur. This combined with unification AIs should make Germany unite regularly, which is what we obviously all want.

The alliance idea came from VIP, it's commented beside the trigger :)

The idea behind the flag is it seems the fall of prussia event fires if Prussia has EVER lost a war to france, but the idea is for it to fire is Prussia loses the franco-prussian war. I set a flag to raise when the war starts and lower when prussia wins (or after prussia falls) and changed the fall of prussia to only fire when the flag is raised.

I'ved tested the chain and it works from both sides, although France's event doesn't show on screen.

They can just DoW France normally.

The french event doesn't pop, cause the error I pointed above. You tested and it worked in both side? That's good, I really liked the chain, I will look if I get another nick-pick. :p

Just the use of flags, that is misused (it won't influence the result, cause the tree sketch, you used, but...)

In 70041, you want to clear the flag? You should use local_clrflag, it set the flag in question to 0, no matter of which is the actual value.

In 70042, seems to be the same problem.

Also, I've seem that you fixed the FRA event, so...

Congratulations.

P.S.: Maybe you could include more probable allies in the trigger.

But in this case local_flag is right. And an advantage that local_flag over global_flag, is that local_flag can be recognized by an AI file, or can be loaded by it.

About these events:
1. Do you think I should end the war with a white peace if Prussia loses, or should Prussia lose some land in the rhineland?

When you were telling me how to make one event work for different countries:
2. Right now I have each minor with a huge secede provinces list for each german unification method, since they all secede the same land is there a way I could make them all use the same event? It would save quite a bit of space.

Don't global events have to be set up in the scenario file though? I wanted to avoid that so people in GD could just copy the events into their file and it wasn't much trouble to have Prussia's events fire France's.

In this case, you will need to make one for each country, what I proposed is that an event that could happen to both a german_minor and Germany, could use that format.

You can set global_flags by event too. type = setflag which = [xxx]

Being serious now, if PRU is loosing that war badly, FRA will surelly call for peace in exchange of some minor gains in land over the Rhineland... if not, a player will try to avoid those events as much as posible to ask for something in the peace negotiations. ;)

Looking at my Excellent German Histroy Text from last year, Hammer or the Anvil, it looks like France wanted to do what Napoleon I wished to do, that is, place much of Germany Under its "protection". That would include the Rheinland.

Also, France was promised, by Prussia if they didn't interfear in the war with Austria venice, but this was insted given to italy, which really peeved the French...

something else thats kinda hard to show in the game is the fact that Austria didn't really....get angry at loosing the war to Prussia...about 20 years later with the same Emperor, they signed an alliance.

Austira had a larger army with more and heavier artillery, more cavalry and was fighting on home turf...so why did they lose? 2 major factors A- The needle rifles rate of fire was significatnly higher than the muzzle loaders the Austrians used and B - Austiran officers were almost all German speaing nobles, with a few Lower ranking officers being HUngarian, but the Majority of Soldiers in the armies...where HUngarian or Slavic spears, and in many cases, the Soldiers had no idea what their officers were telling them!

If I made it a white peace event I'd leave a b option for the player :p Besides, the fall of Prussia event already give France the NGF for a satellite if it's around.

How about 3 border provinces in the rhineland then, since france gives up 3 provinces if they lose? It could also have a fight on option.
