Change over a few of the min farmers to clerks or aristocrats (one of the size 1 Min POPs should do). Otherwise, as Pimparel pointed out, the chinese are in there, using the Min culture.

By tomorrow, I will try to integrate the fallout_boy changes with the proposals of OHgamer. Also will add some clergy, and reduce the aristocracy.

Any comments?

Split the Dutch aristocrats into 1 aristocrat and 1 clergy. That should put things on track.

Ok, I reworked the Javan POP's, they are down to 8 million, added clergy and rework the division of POP's in each province, so you don't get those 98 and 2 now they are split into 50 and 50. (those were example figures)

But after working, testing, releasing Java from the dutch, one thing continued strange: Still 70% of the dutch population was Javan, what the hell!!! So I looked into the other POP's and they seem to be with the same problem 4x POP's all over Indonesia, all those islands.

They can reproduce faster than rabbits. :D So can someone confirm that those POP's are in fact 4x of those are right. OHgamer posted the population from Java, can you post from the other islands?

Link: Javan POP's Reworked

Comments.

EDIT: Looked even further into the POP files, and I think that all files which has the string javan is 4x, can someone confirm?

The one mentioned before and the ones listed below:
Code:
molucks_javan.csv
sumatera_javansunni.csv
sunda_sunni.csv
sunda_folk.csv
timor_javan.csv

No, it is correct as I've stated in the Bug Forum :)

Firstly, Paradox has made a fatal error to unite all Indonesian cultures under "Javanese". The POP files are correctly corresponding with religion (Pagan, Mahanaya, Sunni) and state (Sunda, Sumatra, Molucks, Timor). Also, Paradox designed the game to have five states in the Dutch East Indies: Java, Sumatra, The Molucks, Sunda, Borneo and New Guinea (and forgot Celebes/Sulawesi :( :mad: ). In the game start up files (INC files) they forgot to implement this, thus whole D.E.I is one state (most of the times Java of Sumatra).

Copy/paste the following into the dutch inc file to correct this error

#Java
state = {
colony = yes
province = 2545
province = 2546
province = 2547
province = 2548
province = 2549
province = 2550
province = 2551
}
#Borneo
state = {
colony = yes
province = 2321
province = 2299
}
#New guinea
state = {
colony = yes
province = 2349
}
#Molucks
state = {
colony = yes
province = 2344
province = 2343
province = 2347
province = 2328
province = 2354
province = 2345
province = 2561
province = 2562
province = 2563
province = 2348
province = 2346
}
#Sumatra
state = {
colony = yes
province = 2543
province = 2544
province = 2541
province = 2542
province = 2316
province = 2314
province = 2315
province = 2284
province = 2298
}
#Spice Islands
state = {
colony = yes
province = 2565
}

Lastly, the files itself can be wrong, i.e. too large numbers INSIDE the file, but the files itself are correct.

Your English is quite good. (I used to be fluent in German, once upon a time, so I know how difficult it can be to become fluent in any non-native language. And the Germans I knew all used to tell me that English was the hardest language to learn that they'd ever encountered, because it seemed to have more exceptions than rules.) Sometimes communication difficulties lie with the listener, not the speaker.

Well, at least I didn't spend all those 6 years through the window. :D

Back to the issue, now CHINA:

1) JRaup was preaching about increasing China RGO's cause there is more than 130 unenployed POP's sitting around, apart the MEGA-ÜBER chinese Army and Officers.

As we can't increase Chinese RGO's, due the unciv penalty, the solution is to rework those POP's, cause sometimes there is 50 and 4 POP's of the same culture/religion in the same province. My solution to improve a little the situation is to aggregate those POP's. The situation is critical in china, also due the multi-culture status, something there is 20 farmersa sitting in their buttocks, waiting for a spot on the sun.

I think readjusting the POPs in China is a necessary early step in dealing with issues there. Once POPs are adjusted, it may solve some of the other things.

The Chinese army, while certainly large, is a push over. Even with changing the Manchu units to infantry (with flintlock rifle tech added to inc), and two cavalry units added, they still get stomped by any European power, even up to 1870. Quite literally, the chinese army is a paper tiger. Though the leadership does accumulate rather quickly, I went thorugh some 40 generals, and only got about 11 useful ones. And teh Ai is terrible about how and what Generals/Admirals it uses. Not to mention that the Ai will create Admirals depsite teh lack of ships.

As for the RGO situation, and the problem POPs, the over all numbers are fairly accurate. The problme lies in that there are too many laboroers, and not enough farmers. Switching about 10-15% of the laborers to farmers should do things rather well. Also, a few should be made into clergy, as there is a distinct lack of them in China.

The other problem is that the unemployed POPs hardly immigrate at all. They just sit around and casue trouble. They don't go to the USA, or the Phillipines, or Malaya, or anywhere else. Only those in non-Chinese controlled provinces do any moving. Of course, I've also noticed this with other POPs, and not just the Chinese. though the various Russian and Ottoman cultures do immigrate on a regular basis.

OK, I'm having some errors pop up while trying to load these events in VIP. I'm getting errors that shouldn't be there, such as missing = in statement. Could be I missed something, or that my file has been corrupted somehow. But Ithought I'd post em and see if someone can find something I missed...

I can't pinpoint anything wrong with these, but the type of error you're listing is often caused, in my experience, by something like a missing bracket a few lines above the place it says the = is missing. Basically, it's trying to read certain syntax in ways it doesn't understand, usually because of a missing " or } somewhere.

I use my vanilla Victoria to test things. I've added lines to my event.txt file that call for "db\events\temp," "db\events\tempa" and "db\events\tempb" files and I will copy VIP files to one of the "temp" files to test. It saves me from having to add individual lines to "event.txt" for each VIP file I make.

Just to add to the confusion of pop's and religion in Indonesian. Timor and the Moluck's I believe were majority Catholic at the time and Bali Should be Hindu. Keep up the good work all.

Yes, that's somewhat correct. The game models The Molucks to be ...well ... "The Molucks" AND "Celebes/Sulawesi" (whatever you want to call it). And then only the southern Moluckan islands would be dominated by Christian Catholic's, while the northern Islands is mostly Sunni. Timor is correct, same goes for Bali :)

about "persistent"... doesn't that work like in HoI?
an event with that means that it could be "called" as many times as you want, but it doesn't mean it will trigger on its own as many times as the trigger conditions are true. ;)

I don't think so here. I based those events on the Opium trade events already in vanilla Vicky, and they work as intended I believe. The random factor should keep the number of times it gets called to a minimum. but that will come out in the testing.

I may change the offset to 180 though, depending on what happens in the tests.
