The liberal revolution can be avoided if you make some reforms.
Dunno the exact for VIP.
Just make the usual German minor war and leave all minors that already is democracies.
It's nice to get prestige and free divs ;)
satalitte the big ones and give them money so they'll institute reforms.
The bad thing is the counter revolution that happens alot.

Ya I know it CAN be avoided, but is it better to try to avoid it then to try to ride it out with increased military spending?

Fighting rebels take times and getting 20 plurality as a monarchy isn't exactly good.
So I would do anything to avoid it.

Austro-Prussian war not triggering

While playing as Prussia, the Austrians rejected Prussia's dominanation of Germany. However, When I get the choice as to wether or not Germany will go to war over it, the war event is blank while the do nothing event works.

Can somebody help me?

Ways to unify Germany

If there already is a thread regarding this please post it's link here, ty :)

Really, what ways are there to unify germany? Im horribly at reading the event thingie.

Sidenote: Last game I ended up with north ger being included and south being a satellite of Austria. Never ever got to fight a war with austria :) Mostly because I didnt know any times to fight to maybe trigger an event. I really didnt fight much at all that time. Had alliance with basically everyone.

You can unite Germany as Austria if you defeat the Prussians in 1866 and then defeat the French in a subsequent War.

Indeed. So what reforms are adviced for avoiding liberal revolution as prussia, if one aims for the conservative empire? What about bismarks counter-revolution?

As prussia, you can also unify germany with the Conservative Empire event (all german minors including you are monarchy) and the Popular Union (all german minors including you and austria are either con mon or democracy).

Bismarcks counter-revolution happens if you turned into a constitutional monarchy or democracy.
I think you have to enact socialist press rights, and free parties.
To get the conservative empire all of the german states except Austria needs to be monarchies 1851.
Austria will contest this and you have to go to war versus it to be able to form Germany.

Disused tags.... (I think)

Not sure if anyone has looked into this already (and you someone probably has, being the all knowing, all seeing VIP team  ) But has anyone noticed that there are other disused tags aside from the Uxx ones? Looking through the list on my computer (which has, to the best of my knowledge, the latest VIP patch), I've found one for Siebenburgen (not used), Dai Viet (not used) and Wiang Chhan (not used).

Have they already been assigned, or is there still a debate as to what will happen with them?

Yes - VIP has currently run through all the disused and Uxx tags save 2 which are being held in storage pending the (very remote snowball chance in hell but when you wish on a star dreams sometimes come true) chance that 1.04 will includes more either Uxx or other nation tags (like some of the modern nation tags currently used in HoI) for modding purposes.

Some that are currently not in use in 0.4B have been assigned for use by modders for projects for 0.5, and a few have been assigned to carry-over states for players who wish to continue their game using the 1919-1933 mod.

The current list was up at hoi.coremod.org/forum but with that site down I'll see if I can find a link to them on here.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or WAD, but I thought I'd ask in case it's the former.

I started a VIP 0.4 GC last night as Mexico. After annexing Texas, the US came after me. My manpower was so low I couldn't raise any more troops, and then Mexico's revolt events started up. All of which is a long way of saying I accepted the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo so I could get the US off my back and deal with the revolters. So far, so good.

However, when the peace was signed, most of my army was in Texas and Louisiana. When I went to pull the troops back across the border to start suppressing the Rebel Scum, I noticed that the troops had all disappeared. Aside from a small garrison in Mexico City, the whole of my army simply vanished.

My question is, is this a bug (I've never seen armies simply disappear like this) or is it part of the treaty event (that I didn't notice) that forces Mexico to disband its army? And if that's the case, how come my Mexico City garrison didn't go away?

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

Your armies that were in Texas before the territory transfer should be in your deployment pool after the transfer. If they are not, then there is a problem, but IIRC that is where they go, waiting for you to redeploy (may have to wait a few days to replenish).
