If you are interested in Vikings might I suggest you read "The Viking Art of War" by Paddy Griffith. Vikings aren't really my area (I'm more of an 18th century onwards man) but I found it enjoyable and fascinating and if my memory serves me berserkers are mentioned when the author discusses the makeup of Viking forces.
