5th Platoon will continue its deployment towards N7, where it will construct fortifications and trenches. Have three men move ahead in the field to scout the area, and have the rest hold their position, awaiting further orders.

Move to N14. Post 10 men to watch the South. Have the other 10 stay behind them.

Send 5 men to scout the buildings surrounding their position. Send five more to temporarily block the road, using mines.

Update

Bravo-Company spend more time to broaden its defense perimeter with 3rd and 4th Platoon advancing east and second platoon sending a squad southward to next T-junction.

5th Platoon advanced northward and suddenly received fire from the woods in the north. It returned fire, supported by a squad from 6th Platoon that was send to the north in order to investigate the surroundings. Due to the considerably large distance neither 5th nor 6th suffered casualties so far, but probably the same goes for the Viet Cong (C).

The 66th Engineer Company could continue its work, but is now in a dangerous situation being in line of sight of the enemy. It has finished 50% of the base structures so far.

Should I advance or hold position? The VCs are too far away but will be harassing me constantly.

Hannibal, could you send the squad in the buildings to my east to try and flank the enemy in M3? Maybe place the squad at Q3?

I feel like advancing my squad will put them in open ground and will make them easy pray and I may suffer casualties. We have to avoid this at all costs, but the Engineers are under threat now.

I suggest that 6a avoid moving forward in case it overextends itself. We don't want them being cut off from us and destroyed.

If you like, I can detach 5 guys to guard the engineers, whilst 5th platoon lays suppression on the VC. That should keep their heads down and prevent them from firing on the Engineers, who should be able to move off before we see any trouble.

Alternately, we can go for a full assault on the VC and drive them away. Might be a few casualties, but it's the safer option.

So do you want me to go to M3 or Q3. I personally think we should just stay where we are and not let them advance.

I might be able to risk an attack on the VC, but I'd rather not take unnecessary losses. If we have to, though, then I'll do it.

It also might leave me somewhat far away from my original position, seeing as the VCs are just out of range (or just in range).

I order my men to stat where they are, and have five men continue to scout the buildings. in case they try and flank the engineers.

5th Platoon hold position. Suppress the VC with occasional covering fire, to draw any attention away from the Engineers.

Fifth Platoon

1st Platoon hold position. Detach 5 men to move to the Engineers and stick with them, providing close escort and cover.

Third Platoon move towards G15, if any civilians look suspicious do not hesitate to use deadly force against them. Also take position inside the village huts, if necessary evict the village folk.

Robert Longbow I suggest you revoke that order to act aggressively towards Villages. We need to win hearts and minds if we're going to win this war. Mistreating Civilians will only lead to more villages joining the Viet Cong.

I have a obligation to my soldiers' families back home and to bring as many of my men home in one piece. If I have to throw some natives out of their village to accomplish this I will.
