VIDEO history of the rise of your empire

Instead of a text history, it would be really cool to see a time lapse showing changing borders over the course of the game. There could be a text popup with a short pause for war endings, changing government types, etc. Most of us have probably tried to document this with screenshots or game saves, but making it an included feature would be nice.

Just simple 'replay' animation of world political map (F10) of how world borders changed over the course of game. Maybe with few mapmodes: political, selected country, religious, technological.

And yet again I nicely ask for more cool fun statistics to ledger and end-game summary... World governments map, bloodiest wars in history, best generals (most battles won) etc...

+1 to both the base idea and to having selected other map modes.

Diplomatic and religious are must-haves if you're going to be showing other map modes. Coalitions might be a fun one too, though hardly as vital.

However, does the game record when things happen? Because currently the history doesn't say anything about dates except the reigns of our various rulers.

Yes, this is what we need! I'm sick of seeing the 'Brutal English conquest of Ulster,' which lasted for a year, and had one battle, and the 'Minor English-French punitive war,' Which in fact had half or Europe against England, and took 10 years to end.

Personally I'd prefer simple world map with changing borders (and few map modes: political, religious, technological, cultural)
