Say i want to play as Italy. Can i put the division names to English from the start without alterating them myself. Divisione di fanteria does not help me much what it is about. I speak Enlish, dutch and german. Would be great to pick one of those languages.

Which nation would you suggest to start the game with as a new player to hoi? I would like to play a nation that does have a little bit of influence on how the world develops. But not one of the world powers. I do not regard italy as a powerhouse do. As they werent much of a help to germany. Would italy be a good pick? Or maybe a bit smaller, Greece?

You can rename your division type in the "division creation menu", where you add batallions/support units, and you can rename induvidual divisions in the world (I remember Dan doing it in a stream).

So instead of 7th Infantry Division, I could rename it to 7th Jeff,
Instead of a tank type being called T-34, I could rename it to Jeff,
Instead of a division type being called "Motorised Division", I could rename it to Motorised Jeff.

The Politics & Coups diary seems like more of an advert aimed at people with no experience of the series than a DD - no specifics at all.

I agree that it is probably the wrong video. Doesn't look like a dev diary at all. However, it reminded me of Johan on the screen. I've been around here for quite a while (soon 11 years I think). Hoi2 was my favorite game ever.
Now, look at @Johan in the first video (likely a teaser of some kind, but named dev diary 3). He sure looks good on the screen now. Fairly practiced, down to the point.
Next, look at Johan in this video (first 40sec will do):

Way too much details, tripping his words. Granted, it's an interview, but there's quite a difference.
