Video Card Issue

Got the new DLC and update for EUIV. When starting EUIV, I get a message that the game requires 512M video memory to play. I click OK and the game continues. However when I select a unit for a province, it takes up to ten seconds for the unit or province to be selected. I hope this can be worked around, as this is a brand new computer and I have NO intention of buying a new computer just to play this game. My card is a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 with more than the minimum.

Anyway I'm fairly certain a 960 should be able to run EUIV I looked up the minimum specs for euiv and it requires 512 Mb memory your GTX 960 should have 2048 Mb so you should be good. Definitely something funky going on.
Since you say it's a new pc, have you installed the latest drivers for the card?

Drivers are up to date. PC is 18 months old and I keep it maintained and up to specs.

Do you perhaps have another integrated video card which is confusing the game?

check to see if it happens with other game
check that its running off your gtx card and not an integrated chip
set all the graphics options to very low and see if it happens
set all graphics options to max and see if it happens
try uninstalling euiv entirely

just some troubleshoot ideas

Yeah i get that message too now since the new patch was fine before
