Brazzaville conference/settlement happens, Free France surrenders to Vichy and regains control of occupied France. Under such circumsances shouldn't Vichy revert to become France ?

Well, Vichy France is the name of the Fascist country, so it is France, after all, just with a different ideology. For instance, the French Commune is the Communist state.
I think he means "Why does Vichy France still remain Vichy France after the war ends and they take control of Paris?" After all, Vichy France was called that because they were ruled from Vichy.
Vichy France is a poor choice of name. French State would be better, making more sense in the scenario that you have mentionned.
I believe the case is that if a fascist France is a puppet of Germany, it remains Vichy France even when it controls Paris, but if the fascist France is free its name is actually "Etat Française", or words to that effect.
The reverse situation in the naming of the two Frances is even odder IMO. After the creation of Vichy, if Free France (and its allies) liberates/retakes all of France, it remains named Free France for the rest of the game even though Vichy no longer exists. You could play until 1960 with France leading the charge to Berlin and then onward to Moscow and it would still be named Free France. Just as there is an event to change France's name upon the creation of Vichy, should there not be another one to change it back upon the dissolution of Vichy?
The fact that fascist France (going through the NF tree) is called Vichy France and lead by Petain has always puzzled me. I don't see why France going fascist on its own is gonna call themselves Vichy France nor was Philippe Petain a fascist by any means..
On other note, I have experienced something weird haha In my game agaisnt allies (Historical Mode) I invaded france but decided I will conquer it all , but then it happened.... British-French Union. as one country, unfortunetly i never finished the game so i could see if it actually resulted in Britain owning all of france as one nation(if i was to lose). Anyone seen this before ?
I have, and its quite strong as well. Britain gets all of the French resources (all the ships, divisions, planes, core states, etc) as in France literally gets annexed by Britain.
That's not true anymore, it's only called Vichy france if it's a German puppet now, independent fascist France is called "Nation Francaise" or something like that.
Is fascist France (non Vichy) still lead by Petain? That makes no sense either.
