I am just playing Korea. It is a veery interesting game. In 1847 opened the first glass factory, by 1887 Korea became world leader in Clipper Production, by 1900 it finally civilized, by 1904 it won its first war against Haiti, by 1905 it gained its first colony (Dubayy), by 1907 it repulsed the Japanese attempt to turn it into a protectorate, by 1916 it competes with Japan over the Great Power status...
Korea has large colonies in Africa, has bought Hongkong, Malaysia, Singapore, The Philippines, Papua New Guinea and several holdings in the Caribbean and is now making 1200 per day (while exporting for 3700 per day). It's main products (volume) are Sugar, Rubber and Steel and its still world leader in Clipper Production, but also catching up in Steam Boats. Korea has 123 divisons (most of them native) and over 54 Mio inhabitants. However the army is still technical inferiour (overall army tech level at 12) and the navy is even worse (but at least it has steamer transports). However commerce and industry is already quite developed (tech level 21 in both), so overall the country still has a lot of potential
It was a very interesting ride so far and we will see how far we can take it
