If you download Revolutions, it's patched version. And the CD version is also patched already.

New downloads have the patch in them but you have old version. There was a downloadable patch to it here but it was taken away once the patch was applied to all new GG downloads. I guess you'd better download Revolutions again from GG.

Actually if you got Revolutions from gamersgate in the first month after release, check the new files section of your gamersgate downloader - the patch was set there for people who already had downloaded the first version.
To know you have 2.01 though, do not look at the file name in your folder. Rather, start up the game, and when you come to the screen that has you choose single player, multiplayer, etc, look in the top right corner. In small red text (somewhat hard to read) it should say Victoria 2.01. The first version before the patch IIRC still said Victoria 1.4, so even if you can not make out the final 1 in 2.01 (it will likely be on the edge of your screen) so long as it says Victoria 2.0... in the top right corner you have the right version.
