Hello,

Do I export in 1936 when I get there?

Also, will the export work in HoI2 - Armageddon? Doomsday it says will work.

PAW

You can export any year you like from the game menu, but the the exported game in HoI2 will always begin in 1936.
Not sure if the export works in Armageddon.
Bear in mind: The in-game converter was designed mainly for use with the 1914 scenario. Games started earlier than that will tend to be weird when exported. Especially the conversion between industrial score and IC can be completely crazy.

beowulf,

Thanks. Do you know anything about Victoria 2? I was looking that it requires 2GB RAM. Seems my machine may not handle that.
My question is, does Victoria 2 have an exporter?

I will have to try the 1914 scenario and then see how it ports over to HoI2 -DD.

It would be really cool if the whole series could be joined in this way.

Playing from 1836 to 1964 would be way cool...

Include Crusader Kings (has a built in converter to EU2) and Europa Universalis II (user-made converter to Vic exists) in your list of games and you can go from 1066 to 1964. :)

I believe there is a user-made converter from Vic to HoI2 that supposedly works better than the in-game one. Unfortunately I don't know much about it, since I've never been all that interested in converting the game myself.

I've only tried the Vic2 demo. Can't say much about it. =/
