Hallo im planning to play with a friend. But he have (rev) dont know what patch. SO i serched the forums and saw that it is 2 verisons of rev) He got a 3 years old verison will that include the latest patch

There was a patch (2.01) that was released in Aug 2006 shortly after the release of the expansion. Since Sept 2006 it has been included in the download version from Gamersgate and the Hard Disk version produced and sold directly by Paradox that was released in IIRC Oct 2006 also included the patch.

There have been no further patches since. Version 2.01 is the latest version, and on the load screen where you choose whether to play single player or multiplayer, you will see in small red text at the top right corner of the screen a line that should say Victoria 2.01

You can say that, yes. The only way you can have the 2.00 patch is if you downloaded Revolutions from Gamer's Gate within like 2 weeks of its release and then never bothered to update. All others will have version 2.01
