My question is: will the map be consulted with the community prior to game release? I ask because I'd rather we avoided the situation we had with HoI: absurd or wrong names (Cieszyn anyone?), wrong locations and so on.

You got me wrong, Patric. There's no need to be upset, I only wanted to help as I know that - unfortunatelly - the HoI Betas did not catch the majority of map mistakes. And Nothing could be done after the game has been released.Originally posted by Patric
Would it have been so if we had asked you?
Derogatory remarks like that are not welcome here!(...)

"Having seen some screenshots, i even think the map should be readjusted both geographicly and geopolitically."
One of the people who helped out with the Victoria map is Turkish.Originally posted by Tunch Khan
I just pray god you have a better beta tester crowd this time. Since both EUII and HoI had the exact same mistakes and it took me forever to fix them up. I just noticed the Turkish ones of course but i'm pretty sure there were similar mistakes for other countries too.

Well, I don't think that P'dox or the betas add any mistakes on purpose. Instead, they attempt to make the game as correct and accurate as possible, and they get a lot of input on such matters.
Not sure what you mean by this though:
Could you explain, please?![]()

I mean leader names, both historic and random (especially random leader names were actually not even person names.. they were some misspelled town names), province names and army names (they were far from being accurate but also funny).

I'm sorry. Next time we'll be sure to have a PHD from each nation in the globe to form a thinktank to make sure we don't misspell a town in its native language.![]()

All right, I'll post the mistakes I saw here and you'll make or make not use of my knowledge.
- Kottbus (Eastern part of Germany) should be Cottbus
- Czech lands have their names in czech while the only polish province on any of the screenies is named in German (Posen instead of Poznan). The same goes for the baltic provinces. I suggest to make it more consistent. Either give the province ethnic names, or give them names in official language of the empire. (for A-H it would be latin...)
Unfortunately there are no screenshots of my part of the world, so I can't help you more.
Cheers

I just don't understand why you are all so mean. I know very well how hard you try to make this game perfect and i appreciate it but i think you should have a better (softer) approach to our positive critisism. We are not complaining or saying we don't like what you do, as dedicated fans we're trying to do our bests to improve the game (just our wishes at this point). By rejecting us and claiming that the game is already perfect and there's absolutely nothing we can do is just exluding a great resource and offensive. Consider us as little impatient kids who want to participate into the decoration of a x-mas tree.
