Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
France war decced me although we have amicible realtions. Also the Usa joined them in the play against me although they have a defensive pact with me.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue


Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

So regarding the conflict that was initiated by France and affects you, the main reason this happens is due to your geopolitical strategy in a clearly expansive approach. While the relationship with France is positive, you have conquered land close to their territories also causing an increment on your infamy. This might be seen as a thread for the rest of Great Forces, that while you have attempted to befriend them through Diplomacy, it's not the only factor important in this sort of war declaration.

This same principle could be used to explain the sway direction from USA in this regard. Also, take into consideration the specifics of the Defensive part.

This does not extend to Diplomatic Plays where the other party is the initiator, or where they are backing a third Country as a primary target.

The Attitude towards me changed with the war declaration. They were genial before. We even had trade agreements and in case of USA a defensive pact. If you look at your screenshots you can clearly see that they were only negative because of the conflict they started out of the blue.
Also you cannot declare a war against a country you have amicible realtions with it is just not possible for the player. So they would have had to expel diplomats and decrease relations before but they didnt. So if there are no other rules for Ai than players this is clearly not working as intended.
Also it didnt pull in my ally Portugal which I just realized looking at the screenshots. There is something off with this war.
