Hello. So i have a game with france that goes fantastic. Its 1904 and i read that revolutions can convert games to HOI. Does this also include armageddon?

2) Do i have to wait until the game end before i can convert? When is that btw?

3) How is industri calculted? 1/10 of total industry?

4) If i have played ahistorical, will the game be buggy?

5) Is it even playable/funny?

Thanks if some of you could please help me with these questions =)

1) The in-game converter was made for Doomsday AFAIK, I don't know if it will work with Armageddon.

2) You don't have to wait, you can convert in 1836 if you like.

3) IIRC, the total IC available in the 1936 HoI2 scenario is distributed proportionally according to your Vicky industrial score. It becomes very strange. For fun I converted a Vicky game as Ururguay and ended up with 300+ IC. Furthermore the resources will still be distributed the same, which doesn't work well in such a case. The converter is really intended for continuing the 1914 scenario, not the GC.

4) I have no idea, I've never tried playing a converted game, only started some up to see what it looks like. IIRC, there are no historical events in a converted Vicky game, from what I've heard you'll have to edit those in manually.

5) IMO, no. The games are too different in scope and timescale for me to feel like the converted game is really a continuation of the Vicky game.

3) I do believe someone worked it out before. I think the total IC globally is a somewhat fixed amount, and is distributed based no relative differences in industrial score.

4, 5) Well, it's a WWII game, but if you start from 1836, you'd most likely not get a situation where WWII would occur. Depends, I guess.

cheers

Definitely play with it set to Very Furious, and make sure you add in at the very least the Secret Weapons. If you scroll through the forums, just about any question of the conversion of Vic to Doomsday should have a response from CSABadass and he has a very easy step by step guide to mod in the Secret Weapons.

You rang?:)

Ignore mod references as needed:

V. CA and Converted Victoria: Revolutions Games
You can combine CA with my Victoria: Revolutions mod (called Southern Revolutions--Read about it here: http://www.europa-universalis.com/f...935#post5884935) for the Total CSA Experience: 1861-1963. My mods go together like grits and redeye gravy, but still can't compensate for a flaw in the Ricky converter that leaves you with NO events in the game once you move over to Armageddon. Here's how to fix that:

First thing you need to do is start a totally new game of Armageddon with the CA mod activated, then save and exit. Name the saved game whatever you like, but for example's sake, I'm going to call it "DONOR" here.

Next, open up both the .EUG files for DONOR (in the DD save games folder) and your V:R Converted Game (hereafter called CG, which will be where you left it). Near the end of both files, you'll find blocks of text that look something like this:

sleepevent = { } event = "db\events\AI_GER.txt" event = "db\events\AI_Other.txt" event = "db\events\AI_CHI.txt" event = "db\events\AI_ENG.txt"

...and so forth. You'll notice the block in CG is MUCH shorter.

Copy & paste the block of text from DONOR over the much smaller block in CG. Save and close CG. You may then do with DONOR as you will.

Fire up Armageddon (with CA activated), select the converted V:R game, and all the usual event files will be active. Fair warning: the event triggers weren't designed for converted games, so weird things will happen occasionally. Nothing you can do, really, and it is better than no events at all.
There you are--have at them now!
