vicky has a very high learning curve and i think it scares off a lot of newcomers at first and they hate it. but if you stick w/ it, read the vickywiki, and DO NOT start w/ some tiny minor, you'll love it. of all the p-dox games, this is the only one i dont increase game speed all the time. there's so much to do in vicky, it's never boring.

sounds like either you lack the resources needed to convert them (hover your mouse over the darkened out button, it will say what is missing)

If you are playing a multiethnic state and the clerk is not one of your national cultures, and you do not have full citizenship as part of your ruling party's policies, you'll not be able to convert the POP either. Minorities living in full states can only be converted to other POP types if you have a full_citizenship party in power. Minorities living in colonies can not be changed at all.

nah there is not even a bar for it , there is only officer and peasant ( or factory worker , dunno atm) but either way there is no button saying capitalists or anything
