I disagree about the time frame. If you want WWII, then play HoI.

A Victoria 3 would certainly be interesting but I don't think Paradox will create a new Victoria, it seems as though they've essentially abandoned the game, it's sad really I always have fun with Victoria 2.

Nope. There is interest within the company for a third Victoria.

Indeed, they even said that they had a entire list of ideas for 2-3 new expansions for VII that never panned out due to their new DLC model and higher QC standards.

I'm sorry, when did I speculate anything? I simply said a Vicky3 would be interesting.

Well everything around Victoria right now is speculation, but if they had decided to release Vicky III they would have done it a couple of years ago, after 3-4 expansions of CK II and EUIV. They said it had actually been a bit more profitable than they expected and it actually made enough money to justify the game and the expansions, and would consider developing a new iteration if there was an internal champion within PDX, but it always sounded like a long shot, and the fact that they haven't really announced anything for years makes it pretty clear it's not going to happen before the WWI centenary is over, which would be the obvious time to do so.
