Victoria 2 Ultimate Mod Problems

I've recently purchased Victoria 2 and all it's DLC to play with my friend. He likes the ultimate mod and asked if i could install it. I looked at a guide and it seemed fairly simple, just zip it directly into the mod folder and get rid of the .txt files so the ultimate.mod and ultimate folder are right next to each other. I did so. However, whenever i launch the game the same error always comes up after the paradox intro. "The working directory doesn't seem to be correct." I've spent around 4 hours looking up shit and installing other mods and watching youtube videos but I haven't found anything, so the forums is my last resort. I am on Windows 7, 64 bit. plz help, thank.

Have the ultimate mod been updated to the latest version of Vicky 2? I had a feeling it wasn't up to date.

The biggest problem is that there are no direct game files in your Ultimate. I think, actually, you should take all of the files out of the (top-level) Ultimate folder and put THOSE in your mod folder. I assume inside that lower-level Ultimate file are all the game files.

You must put only Ultimate folder (inside the first Ultimate folder) in your mod folder.
Ah and you must have the updated game.

Sure, I launch the game with the mod included, and I get through the intro video just fine. As soon as the video ends, my game crashes without it going into load, and I get the error message "v2game has stopped working". The same happens when I launch the New Nations Mod.

See if you can't download that one C++ Redistributable or whatever it is that the game needs. I may remember incorrectly, but I seem to recall this being the solution.

Actually I find the problem, something was wrong in the defines.lua.
