Victoria 2 is a masterpiece

Yeh PDM is a must. Unfortunately, without mods, communist revolutions make some countries unplayable(I’m looking at you USA).

Many of the other PDX games are good as well with more polish and content. But I like Vicky the most because it is my favourite time period. I really like to focus on economic game-play and prefer power projection over map-paining. Taking an unciv to great power status without having to conquer half the world is just amazing.

I would certainly agree. It is a game where going to war is a strategic decision, rather than being a map painter game, like most other Paradox games are.

Unfortunately, that may be the reason it is less popular than other pdx games.

Playing Prussia, just beat the hell out of Netherlands for conquering Sokoto before I could sphere it and force a protectorate on it. Very, very satisfying, as Netherlands was also allied with France, so I got to occupy Paris for the second time.

This stuff NEVER gets old.

But you can't move your capital at all in Vic 2. So they would release a DLC to allow it Spend 200 prestige to move it to another continent.

Yes, Victoria 2 is really a masterpiece, it's a bit old but hasn't been out of date. But I hope paredox don't forget it!
