So much great !!!

I think this time, even if some patches are needed, I hold my new favorite Paradox game. Before HTTT, it was Ricky, then HTTT, and now Vicky II...

I watched several times severals parts of this video and it made me realize the political possibilities are huge compared to the first Victoria. The map is also incredibly beautiful and accurate for what I quickly saw...

I love it... I never did this before (because, well most of the time it doesn't change anything) but for this one I will pre order... And wait eagerly for August 13th !!! [Writing : "take some days off work for the period august 13th to 23th )

And with a good tutorial, I bet this Victoria will be much better loved by gamers than the first one... The lack a tutorial was the biggest the problem for Victoria I's success...

I only just noticed that Paradox made a step away from charts and numbers... in the POP window there were three rows with pictures of drinking glasses - a water glass with light blue water in it, a beer glass with blonde beer in it and a wine glass with red wine. I assume they show the fulfillment of life needs, everyday needs and luxury needs?

I love these little images!!! So cute... and so easily grasped. I think I now like the interface.

Yeh that's right. Needs fufillment is nice pictures so you can see quickly what is going on.

I like it at yellow, makes it easier to see it next to the other majors.. and France+Sweden already have the blues of the big countries.

Agreed! Yellow/Gold is a very German colour and I must say that I agree as well. Since when has Prussia been blue? There is Prussian blue but they've never had blue as their own colour. That right is reserved to Sweden and France, as mentioned.

Agreed! Yellow/Gold is a very German colour and I must say that I agree as well. Since when has Prussia been blue? There is Prussian blue but they've never had blue as their own colour. That right is reserved to Sweden and France, as mentioned.

Prussia was blue in the original Victoria. I believe it was a different shade than any of it's neighbours since I never had a problem differentiating it from Sweden or France. I suppose since Paradox are determined not to change it I will have to figure out how to mod national colours when the game comes out.

Of course I know that, but I meant in history. Some colours tend to be connected to certain countries. Like scarlet or red for the United Kingdom, green for Italy, red for Turkey, blue for France, etcetera.

I was helping the bird put together some maps for a history project she was doing and it suddenly dawned on me I was using EU3 colours for everything. Weird how you 'just know' what the right colour for a particular nation should be.

With a fanbase drawn from the same demographic most likely to take up arms against the government and the sheer amount of time one spends mired in their interface Paradox could make valuable extra coin implanting subliminal messages into their games.

This. I saw a map of the world in the 19th the other day, and a voice in my head said, "F*** sake, everybody knows that the French Empire should be blue."
It made me surprisingly angry, come to think of it...

Why? The Ottomans have always been a bright pale green. Besides, it would clash with the red of the Soviet Union.
