Any hope for owners of non-Steam versions to obtain the patch? I have the retail cd version.
it is already in the User Modifications section.
Edit/Clarification: patch 3.0.4 is not officially released yet it's only a Steam Beta. What's in User Modifications section is the unofficial, clean copy of the patch. No funny business.
Thank you very much for that, it will sure make me to play Vic2 some more.
Yet...
Do you consider to do something with infamy system in this game? Becouse you can eat civilized nations with millions of people in it left and right and no one cares, or you can annex a few thousands uncivs living on one island in the middle of the ocean, and the whole world will hate your guts becouse of it, purely randomly.
This is, by far, the most irritating thing for me in this game.
Is this the case for every province event? Not sure where to post this but, firing province events in the console crashes the game. Even "event [id] [province id]" doesn't work it still crashes the game.
PDX isn't going to change something as fundamental as infamy. Such a change would require Victoria 3.
Ideally, infamy should be weighted in regard of the population of the state and the ressources that are produced.
Non-optimally, they could perhaps weight it in term of number of provinces acquired but even this possibility seems unlikely.
I'm not sure how they'd do it really, but it'd be nice if something was done.
@podcat Can I download the beta without Steam? My Heart of Darkness copy is from Gamersgate, so I am worried that downloading the beta through Steam will corrupt the non-Steam files.
